Pa10 upper receivers

I’ve been waiting for the availability of a Pa10 stripped upper for months now. I’m starting to lose hope and am probably just going to buy a different brand lower and restart my build. Any clue on when they come back in stock?

Are you wanting an upper or lower?

A stripped upper. Preferably. I don’t necessarily want to buy a complete .308 upper as I’m building a 6.5 creedmoor

this is probably something that @sean.psa or @Josiah_PSA can answer for you hopefully.

It’s listed! Buy it before it’s gone!

What price were they selling for?
Also, is PSA still using proprietary height uppers or have yo Finally u decided on DPMS low or DPMS high?
It’s about the only issue I have with y’all’s uppers

Its still proprietary but is very, very close to dpms low.

Unfortunately, I’m well aware. The Midwest Industries handguard I ordered was never installed and I gave up on the project. WTH anyone would decide to throw a 3rd format into the ring when (IIRC) there’s no legal reason to do so is mind boggling. NO decent 3rd party rails will fit correctly. It might be a small difference, but I’m not building tolerance stacking into a rifle and dealing with that BS when setting up backup irons.

I had no problem finding a dpms low handguard that matched.

My problem was finding one short enough.

I’m glad you’re happy with it as that’s all that really matters.
As far as mating up versus matching…every one that I’ve tried is a little bit off. It’s not a large amount, but it irks me and that’s what’s important to me. That’s the reason I gave up on using Palmetto State Armory’s PA 10 platform for any “nicer”, completely custom, purpose-built rifles. Fit and finish are important when assembling fire-arms where the handguard and stock alone cost more than a PSA upper.

I rock bone-stock PSA stuff all the time. The standard PA10 just doesn’t do it for me. That’s what’s great about PSA. If I had spent $2K-$3K on a custom rifle and there were small tolerance issues I would be pissed. As it is, I’m out the cost of a stripped upper (<$100).

A better picture for you. I have seen factory stuff from “top tier” brands that is more off than this.

I bought the upper they listed for me for $179 after tax. Unfortunately enough I had ordered a dpms low upper already so I have that just sitting around. I love psa as a company but they seem the have issues keeping things in stock after they sell out. As if they don’t pay attention to their listings? Idk just a theory. But all in all so far I was able to find a dpms 18” rail that fit my perfectly!

Run your hand across the T-slots where the upper meets the handguard. Let me know if you feel a small difference in height.

There is a tiny little difference. Maybe less than a millimeter though. Not really noticeable unless you’re looking for it.

ok… (inhales deeply) …please… :disappointed_relieved:
