Two years ago, a guy was selling a 3d printer and thumb drive of files for $500. Me being the kind of Neanderthal where everything in my hand is a hammer and everything looks like a nail, I would have a broken 3d printer in less than a week.

I used to just use a mylar potato chip bag, but every time I pulled my phone out I had to buy another bag because the smell made me hungry.

The last time I went to a gun show, guns were made in this place called ‘New England’…
Stocks and grips were made out this weird stuff called ‘wood’.
You had too aim by looking through a notch and lining it up with a little thing on the front of the barrel.
Guns didn’t come out of a bag of Skittles, they were black or blue, maybe nickel.
They had two kinds of ‘accessories ‘ leather holsters/slings and bullets.
Now: gun $299. Custom slide with optics cut+ $250. Optic +$200. Weapon light, +$259. Can +$700. Plastic holster +$75. Total +$1800. Congratulations! - if you skip your electric bill you can buy 50 rounds of ammo next payday

1974 - first gun show with my Dad.
I guess we are both the old ‘I know what I got’ geezer squares on the bingo card. They can laugh at us cause we think traditional is the ultimate. 
And we can laugh back, at them with all them new fangled Swiss Army knife guns with all the fancy doo-dads, deally -bobs and do-hickeys hanging off of ‘em…
I’m pretty sure the old style guns won two world wars, and we beat Germany and Japan during WW2 in two major theaters of operation in just 3 years and 10 months! Dec 7th, ‘41 to Sep 2nd ‘45. Army Riflemen could adjust for and were expected to hit a man size target at 600 yards with iron sights.
I only wish that I could have lived during that era. My Dad did, though and served the entirety of WW2. Africa and Italy/European theater of operations.
