[UPDATE] I haven’t yet completed a purchase, but it at least seems as though now PSA’s website will allow selection of an FFL during the checkout process.
I tried to buy a complete pistol but it looks like even complete HB1240 compliant pistols can’t be shipped to my FFL. When I asked my FFL they told me they will accept all lawful transfers. Is PSA just stopping all sales to WA? Very confused.
Hi Rufus. If you click on that link, it lists the restricted items. The pistol i was trying to buy is This Dagger..
Which of the restricted items applies to a completed pistol with none of the banned features?
This appears to either be a glitch on the PSA website, or a mistake. HB1240 doesn’t prohibit sales of parts that aren’t classified as “WA assault weapons.” This Dagger (and many more items that I’ve tried to buy) are NOT “WA Assault weapons.”
That would be up to the compliance team there. I’m pretty sure if you’re on the right side of the grey you’ll be good to go. Is your FFL current with them?
I don’t work for them just trying to help.
That Dagger has a 15 round magazine, I’m pretty sure you’re now limited to a max capacity of 10 ![]()
The Dagger frame alone should be allowed to ship to Wa. State. The purchase does not include a magazine. This is very frustrating. It is NOT banned in Washington State… yet…
The link provided above is for a complete pistol and includes one 15rd magazine.
I would agree that a Dagger frame alone should ship…UNLESS it is considered “parts and or parts kits” which were also banned.
Then I don’t know, because in theory a Dagger accepts magazines that carry more than 10 rounds.
The answer to that one appears to be, no PSA still ships WA-1240-compliant firearm to Washington state.
I just purchased a similar Dagger in December 2023. PSA shipped the Dagger to my FFL, missing the 15 Rnd. Mag. I picked up a couple of genuine Glock 19 magazines, said Dagger Rocks!
