Health and Life in general

@Don_Keedix
I am sorry about your dad brother l still have mine but lost my mom 6 yrs ago.
Part time bartender huh? I have done that too at a country bar out of town. Nothing but a Adult Day Care for me. 1 mile from the KY/TN line; Allen County KY was a dry county then and Blue/Orange don’t mix well. No mix drinks ( although a lot of illegal smiles outback ) can beer only not bottles. No pool tables means no sticks but that didn’t stop the fights. I’m paid to bartend not bouncer but l did. Friday and Saturday night, live music large dance floor, full house and then the fights. I have not been there in 20 years. Hope your bar is laid-back and not a UFC!

It’s a total body rebuild if you add in the morning/nighttime supplements but I can break that down when I get home.

The recovery drink is a “protein shake” with some extras.

  1. I like two different types of protein powders one drink is better for recovery after physical activity and another is better for when you go to sleep.
    • Fast Absorbing

    • Whey Protein Isolate
      • Slow Release
    • Micellar Casein
  2. Collagen; healthy hair, skin, nails, joint support & bone health.
    • This one is a little more expensive

    • Multi-Source Collagen ( Type 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 )
      • This one is cheaper but is a good alternative
    • Collagen ( Type 1 & 3 )
  3. Creatine; helps build muscles, strength & mass.

  4. Glutamine; muscle recovery.

  5. Powdered Peanut Butter; Extra Protein/Flavor

I recommend “The Vitamin Shoppe” but most of this stuff can be bought at any local health store or Walmart.

Thank you for posting this!

Thank you. It is very much appreciated.

@MichaelAnthony
It probably wouldn’t hurt if you would be willing to share the things that you use. I know you posted it somewhere else but I know you are into supplements and alternative methods.

i take one of these with a redbull:

and

basically a redbull with 2.5mg yohimbe… absolutely amazing

You’re able to keep your sinises clear.with that?

oh yea i never get sick

The pain starts when my feet hit the floor in the morning, and it stops when I fall asleep

Family and coworkers are noticing, I get a lot of “let me do that for you”. That’s humbling

It could be worse I suppose

I’m only 51

i get a good workout playing fortnite and eat healthy, generally pizza, really enjoy work. always picking up new hobbies now im into 5.7

Yohimbe always clogged my sinusses up.

Thanks. It sucks that he’s gone, he worked his entire life for us and was JUST about to retire, he never got to enjoy the time he had planned forever for, and I still wish every day it wasn’t so, but a part of me is relieved that he didn’t have to go through all the painful and invasive surgeries he would’ve been lined up for and that he isn’t hurting anymore.

See the above post linked to this one @1911
It looks like we have some similar thoughts about us being put together in here.

Might be worth a talk with ya primary Doc. Couldn’t hurt to at the least make a call, and let him/her know what’s been happening as of late, and give them a rundown of all the symptoms. You could try self-medicating with endless combos of whatever sounds like it may work, but it’ll be easier on your wallet and less time explaining to the old Lady. Could just be retaining extra water around some bone/joints, could be inflammation, most likely some Arthritis. All I know for sure, it’s hell to get older.

Arthritis is the devil.
Especially when you can’t take Nsaids :confounded:

Interesting. I have sinus issues. Usually after lunch break I go back to work and need my nose spray. I’m going to start looking at my energy drinks and see if they have Yohimbe . Maybe unrelated but worth a look.

Some of ya’ll are younger than I thought. I guess the majority of us here are in the beat up too young crowd.

Edit: sometimes I get seriously pissed when I see 60 year old dudes walking around like normal. I cant walk right at 48. I’ll be dead at their age.

I started carnivore today.

So far:

2 eggs and black coffee for breakfast.

Steak and bacon for lunch.

I could do carnivore.

Something came across my phone just the other day about eating nothing but steak for 7 days.

Way past that. I have an orthopedic surgeon giving me quarterly cortisone injections in the trapezium of both thumbs

The no cartilage left in either joint, and I have spurs. Both are level 3-4. I need trapeziectomies in both hands with ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition to fill the void from the missing bone

But considering my occupation, my estimated recovery time would be approximately 6 months, per hand

I don’t have LTD coverage at work

Due to other issues, I can not take NSAIDs

My constant knee pain is from a meniscus tear in my right knee, and surgery to trim it

Not much I can do
