Health and Life in general

Yes. Had a trainer years back get me on that ol “dont eat anything white” funny how almost every white food is bad. Except cauliflower I reckon.

Good thing chocolate comes in black.

I filed the PACT Act, was immediately turned down, denied, rejected. LOL

My Hemotology - Oncology appointment was able to be moved up to next week on the 12th which is great.

For all our family and friends !!

Well let’s update this now at 52. There’s been some changes.

I no longer hurt everyday when my feet hit the floor. In fact, I feel pretty good.

A little over a year ago some very dear friends convinced me that I needed to make some serious lifestyle changes, and I was in agreement. So was my doctor.

Around this time results started to trickle in that I was facing a serious health challenge that demanded intervention. Surgery in August took care of that with follow up testing in December of 2024 to confirm surgery was a success.

My activity level has returned to almost normal, and since August I’ve lost 92lbs so far, and eliminated at least 5 prescriptions for blood sugar.

I still have more work to do, more weight to lose, and more prescriptions to try and discontinue. I still have horrible arthritis in both thumbs, but have found an effective way to deal with that.

The finish line is within sight now…

So proud of you for all of your accomplishments.
Keep up the good work :+1:
Even happier for your clean bill of health!

@rockymountainjeep

Thank you :+1:t3:

great job man! 92 lbs is nothing to be shy about!! well done!!! good job!
keep up the great work!

Unfortunately due to my past occupations I have seen way too many things that nobody should ever have to see. Luckily I am very good at compartmentalizing things in my mind. I don’t have flashbacks too often but at times different things may trigger a memory. The only things that still can really get to me is the incidents that involved infants and children. It is amazing how much you remember and just how clear your memory can be on certain memories. I hope that my past doesn’t make me too overprotective of my granddaughter.

With the exception of not yet having grandchildren, me too.

Current events have triggered major PTSD. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:
