Hello all!

Good day everyone, I just purchased my first AR15 and am a noob for sure. I look forward to gaining knowledge about this new platform!

Buckle up. This ride has a beginning but no end. It’s an adventure and the rabbit hole goes deeper than you can imagine. And boy, oh boy, its a fun time.

Welcome to the forums. Don’t ever think a question is too dumb to ask, and be warned…ar’s multiply like rabbits.

Welcome to the Forums!

Greetings and Salutations! Make yourself at home!

Thanks guys! I’m familiar with glock platform, but my friends keep telling me this us a whole other ballgame. I was just told what the differences between a fixed buttstock and a AR pistol brace. Seems stupid

welcome aboard,

I remember when I said I was just going to build one.

that was so many AR builds ago…

The only stupid questions are the ones not asked. There’s a great base of knowledge around here, and even some PSA reps around from time to time to correct all us “experts” as needed…

You remember it? I’m just glad I dont know how much money I’ve spent on AR parts over the years. It would probably make me cry.

not only remember it I still have it. I’m that person that hardly ever sells or trades a gun.

I tell myself that they are investments??

Remember ALWAYS, once a rifle, ALWAYS a rifle! RIP ya wallet bro lol

Welcome buy more

Or like tattoos.

But at least you can sell an AR.

Congratulations! First thing, you’re gonna need at least a 20 long gun safe. By the time it’s delivered and bolted to the floor, you’ll be looking at a second safe.
I chose to make the kids share a room and up armored one of the bedrooms.

Congrats and welcome! I have owned and used guns for many years and still learn new stuff all the time. There are many wonderful and experienced folks on here. Use that to your advantage and enjoy!

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the obsession!

Welcome Josh! Congrats on your first AR!
There’s so much about ARs that it’s really better to sit down at an experienced guys reloading bench, and have a long conversation over a gallon of coffee. But when I started out, I was told to stick to MIL SPEC or better quality parts, and you should be ok. Various forums on here should help with any other questions you have. And don’t let anyone tell you that it doesn’t matter how a gun looks as long as it works. The cool factor is critical!!! :joy: Enjoy!
