yeah, FN is kinda limited on the options, but PSA can make just about anything you want with their parts options that they make and carry.
I got a lot of good information out of this thread. I was looking at Daniel Defense HOWEVER I don’t need escargot and cream cheese I am fine with cheese and crackers. My conundrum was high end rifles vs shooting. I prefer more ammunition in a reliable gun. PSA fits that need very well.
I don’t see calling PSA the poors gun anymore. That is not the case.
If you haven’t already, go look up the “high round count AR15” thread on arf-com and take some time to read through it. It’s the long term reliability reports on various guns from a guy who runs a full-auto rental range. Spoiler alert - PSA uppers run just as hard and just as long for him as anyone else’s do.
When PSA has the Myrtle Beach range fully going with their own rentals i imagine we will have inhouse data straight from them.
If you’ve got a commute for a little over an hour, give this podcast episode a listen or watch if you’ve got some time to kill:
Some very knowledgeable dudes who put things in interesting perspective. I really enjoyed the episode.
Edit: I forgot to add why it’s relevant. They discuss why paying top dollar for high end components isn’t always the best method when assembling a “high-end” firearm.

I need to get in on doing a tour of FN. I would be like a kid in a candy store overwhelmed by all of the flavors and different types of candy.
I don’t know if this is possible or not but I would love to get a group of guys off of the forum that wanted a tour of the FN factory together for sone fellowship with like minded people and we all get a chance to learn a lot in the process. We could even break bread together after the tour. I would enjoy meeting a bunch of you guys as much as the tour. I know that with all of the business that PSA does with FN I don’t think that FN would object. Since Jamin is rubbing elbows with Trump lately he has to have the pull to set this up. I really am serious about this. I would like to know how many of us would go.
If it were at a time I could arrange to have away, The Wife and I would certainly be up for that. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be this calendar year for us.
Would have to be a Friday or Saturday for me. I would love it as well.
well you can get a tour setup fairly easily … or could. all you had to do is call, and see if you could setup a tour. they’d tell you what days were available and want to know how many were you bringing. i think theres a minimum of people like 10 to do a tour. if your alone, you can possibly get lucky and find a group already going and join them, but usually you gotta be a group of people to do it. they’re free, and like i said, they wont do it for smaller than like 10 people. I wouldnt be against going to a tour again, and i wouldnt be against going with any of yall, and having a meal afterwards either. all sounds fun. i’d probably have to bring my walker though cause of my back, and i have to sit / lean a lot on something to keep it from killing me.
I got one of those little Kick-Scooters you can borrow…
No we can just put a bridle and a saddle on @Yota-walker and he can carry us walking weak. You can take the bridle and I get the riding crop… giddy up fleabag…
You got two of them?
Hurry up everybody let’s go next month…
