With the exception of it being a push-button safety, I’m struggling to understand exactly what this does and how, even though he’s explaining it thoroughly.

Push button safeties on ar’s are not practical unless you are left handed.

The way I understand it, the cam on the safety rocks a lever which resets the trigger every time the bolt slams forward. There’s a part in the vide where you can see the back side of the safety rotating back and forth with every shot
I don’t see why not. You should still be able to sweep your hand up to push the button to engage the safety.

Because I don’t want to have to move my trigger finger farther away from the trigger to push a button when I could simply flick my thumb on the opposite side.
Are you saying flip safety and maintain the same functionality as the hof ss?
I don’t think it’s possible to have it be a flip safety and give it the same functionality.
Those already exist, and the ATF is gladly finding them even though they are legal.

Couldn’t this be considered a drop in auto seer? They already decided the forced reset trigger is a machine gun. They also decided a drawing is a machine gun. Why is this difference? None of this makes any sense. How can anyone possibly follow laws that change from month to month? Sometimes day to day.

Shoestrings are mg’s also. Who knows with the ATF. One thing i have learned is that regulations are the birth of innovation, and that is a good thing.

It seems like these regulations deter manufacturers from innovating new products out of fear that they will be the next target of the ATF. The lines are so blurry if you get anywhere close to them you are likely to be accused of something illegal.

The atf is going to do what it does to trample on rights. But braces are a prime example of innovation. Cali and NY specific parts/configs are also. In reality that should never have to be done. But it puts the burden on the govt, which is a good thing.

Yeah, the ATF is finding them becuase there are purchase records. This is something that can be 3D printed. No purchase records.

Welcome to the Biden ATF. Where they want to make things as confusing as possible and tell you something is legal one day and then not legal the next so they have an excuse to raid your home and take your guns.
What do you think the 98,000 new “IRS” agents were for? And all the ammo for the “IRS”? You think it was to do audits? NO, it is to go after folks claiming that they don’t have a TAX stamp for their gun parts. They were setting it up to do full blown raids on every person they can find who has bought a FRT or pistol brace etc.
And no this can’t be considered a drop in auto sear because it is forcing a reset of the trigger. The FRT stuff is winding it’s way through court and I’d imagine that it’ll eventually get to the Supreme Court and they’ll rule in Rare Breed’s favor.

And to be honest the FRT was a prime example of innovation same as this new Super Safety. I’m sure Hoffman wouldn’t have invented it if the FRT’s had been left alone.
So looks like the ATF is just shooting themselves in the foot… When they’re not shooting someone’s dog.
