Holosun Dilema

Average working class fellow that can appreciate the product’s Holosun is putting out there however conscience will no longer allow for ‘China manufactured’ without any production in the US. The search for clear glass is real, lol. Spending as much on the optic as was spent on the firearm seems the norm.

yeah if youre gonna bypass anything made in china, then you’re gonna spend big $ for sure.

I do hate that amerian made cost so much more, but you do get what you pay for, so there is that too.

I looked at china products and then went with eotech. Love it.
Just bite the bullet it sucks for a little bit until your quality optic comes in, and work another week or two lol

They are based in Texas. Their products are made in China.

Thank you kind sir

Some of their products are china. PA also has optics manufactured in the Philippines and Japan.

Ah! Explains the wide price differences. 0-300/China, 300-600/Philippines, 600+Japan

Very nice! Much appreciated.

I don't support China, or agree with their communist ways. And I sure as hell wouldn't want to be responsible for partially funding some crazy anti-American plan they have. But let's face it, not everyone can afford an EOtech. These companies like Holosun are based here in the US, they just use cheap Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or any other "ese" labor to bolster their profit margin. If Trump would've had his way a lot of the overseas stuff would've come back. Prices might have gone down eventually. I think until the lazy part of America gets to work, and burger flippers stop demanding $45,000 a year, this is gonna be the norm. I just shop around, find the best product value that suits my needs, and buy what I want. It's not like I'm donating to the "Chinese Communist Coalition" or something. 😂

Yea i cant afford eotechs, i used the covid checks to buy it, i spent every dime of it on guns ammo accessories and a fridge.

The problem is the lack of efficient and affordable optic plants here in the US. No different than an EDC pocket knife. Probably most of those that complain about china carry a made in China Kershaw pocketknife because a made in USA spyderco is too expensive.

BearOps makes a good s30v knife (made in Alabama) that is only $60 on Amazon. I have one with the G10 scales and it is very lightweight.

I put a Holosun 501 C on my 300 blackout pistol, and I absolutely love it. It has more features than any other optic in or out of that price range. I’ve seen it torture tested in multiple videos, and have had zero issues with mine. I totally get keeping your money in America, and I try to do the same. But when your patriotism impedes your pursuit of happiness, you gotta draw the line somewhere.

I’d like to try some of the Holosun stuff, especially the pistol dots. Most of my experience is with Aimpoint Comp M4s and Aimpoint types from e.g. Primary Arms.

I have and enjoy a Holosun 503 with acss reticle. It’s a solid red dot. All their stuff is solid, not the issue. ‘Made in china’ is the hiccup.

Leupold is made in Oregon, although I would imagine some parts are sourced elsewhere. They are a great company that stands behind their product.

I have a Leupold Scope and had to eat crackers and water for 6 months to get it.
