I sent in a PSA .22LR upper about 4 months ago to get repaired, and after numerous emails, handful of phone calls, a few times trying the worthless chat system, I have received a single reply that said, “we are waiting for parts”
I am just wondering how to find someone that can actually let me know what is going on? How long to expect it to take to a fix a gun that has less than 50 rounds through it?
Given the supply chain disruptions and China’s role in them, parts could be backordered for a long time. I have vehicle parts that have been on backorder for months. Some gun parts might have similar supply problems.
I’m sure the PSA folks are plenty busy and do their best to respond when they have some intel from the repair facility to report. It could be a “you’ll know something when we know something” deal.
Maybe one of the PSA staff who visit this forum will see your post and assist. It does seem to happen sometimes.
I am wondering if a plain, old fashioned letter, like in an envelope and everything, mailed to the repair depot would get a better response. Your inquiry would probably be noticed since it would stand out from the electronic deluge of emails.
Oh yes that reminds me: buy stamps now because the rate goes up again soon. Forever stamps were a pretty good idea.
Thanks, obviously it is just a .22, I am not too concerned about needing it. The problem I am having with them is the ZERO communication. They could have simply said, “we are waiting for XX part, it is backordered, we’ll let you know” or something along those lines. Instead it was complete nothingness from them. I was emailing weekly, I would get the canned reply that they would get back to me in 4 days at the most, or what ever, but they just never did.
