When you finally have time to build your AR kit and its missing the button for the mag release.![]()
Now you get to wait 2 weeks to get the part.
how do you know the wait will be 2 weeks? did you contact CS? this is a bit too vague of a post… surprised you didnt have extra parts already like many of us do lol.
Yes I did. They told me 5 business days to process and then however long it takes for the shipping company to get it here, so judging by when they said that with the actual kit, I got 2 weeks.
Just move all your debt to a HELOC that is tied to the Fed funds rate.
Then you will spend all your money paying down debt, and won’t spend ANY money on firearms stuff.
Because they are raising interest rates like crazy. To fight the inflation the Fed created.
I see Corey, who owns one of the local firearms stores, at county meetings.
I want to go buy a Thunderbeast Suppressor from him.
But with interest rates going up the way they are, I tell him I’d LIKE to buy the Thunderbeast, but …
Well at least they are sending your missing parts. I bought 2 lower kits for a .308 build for each of my 2 sons. Took me little over 3 years to complete everything. I’m talking Surefire Warcomp, Warne bipod and 1 piece scope mount, Trijicon tenmile scope, magpul mags and 50rd drum, Rock River collapsible stock, Hogue grip, tactical case, bore sighter, MTK mag case, ammo cans. This is why it took that long. Gave it to them for Christmas. Father/son build for quality time together. Both kits are missing grip screw and washer. Customer service gave me run around because I purchased kits in April ‘21. Explained why it took so long. Figured they say sorry and we’ll get those out to you right away. “James “ said he didn’t know how to rectify the situation. Wanted me to reply to his email with pictures of what was in the kit. Been a week and I haven’t heard anything or had a reply. We are probably talking about 10-15 cents worth of parts on their end. Been customer long time a have bought several handguns, parts, lowers, uppers, even coffee. Pathetic
You’re making that big a deal over something you bought nearly three years ago that is missing a screw and and acting like the company is being unreasonable and they’re pathetic?
Welcome to the forums @busted1200 ![]()
You purchased these kits years ago and then contacted the company during the busiest time of the year that included 2 holidays.
The responsibility to check to see that you received what you ordered is on you at the time you take possession. There is too much fraud for them to simply send out free parts to those that claim to get wrong parts years ago.
Absolutely, I expected what I thought was a company that respected their customers to make good on the missing parts. I already explained why it took so long to find out they were missing. Plenty of other companies out there that wouldn’t loose a customer over 2 screws and 2 washers.
Your a PSA moderator, so I expect you to take their side. Yes it was holiday week, but they had customer service working didn’t they? Yet it’s my fault for not checking a box of parts that’s labeled " Your parts were packaged with care and inspected by DK". Again I expected better service. Not like I’m claiming I ordered a complete upper and the bolt carrier assembly was missing. 2 screws and washers missing and you think your customers are being fraudulent? Please
Look, I’m going to explain this as nicely as I possibly can: it’s your fault. There’s no reason you couldn’t have opened the package to verify your purchase that you made well over two and a half years ago. It would’ve taken you literal seconds to do so and the issue would’ve gotten sorted out then. The reason the person on the other end of the line didn’t know what to do is because you are making a completely unreasonable request.
What’s to stop anyone from calling them up and saying they’re missing a detent spring or a castle nut or a mag release cap or any one of another million small parts when they need one?
You threatening to stop being a customer over 2 screws and washers from nearly three years ago is also unreasonable, but if that’s what you feel you need to do, then by all means, draw that line in the sand.
Moderator or not, you are talking about parts you ordered YEARS ago that you didnt check…that isnt on PSA.
All companies make mistakes, and that is on the company. But you as a consumer have to do your part also.
No its not as @Don_Keedix doesnt reside in SC. Please dont accuse members of things they didnt do.
Busted…
i get what youre saying… you are missing 2 screws and 2 washers, to parts kit(s) that you purchased 2 years ago… as i didnt read the whole thread what parts exxactly are they?
devils advocate here… How many of us EVER check all LPK’s or LBK’s when we buy them to make sure EVERY little screw and detent and spring is in it at the time that we purchased the parts? Unless you bought it to build right then and there, i seriously doubt we do. I know i’ve bought parts kits and had them sit for years before… also however, i have my very own plano case (tacklebox) full of LPK parts sorted easily from spare parts i’ve accumulated over the years that. I could probably build 4 or 5 lowers from… I bought extra lower parts and stocked up… just never know when something may brake or you. may need a screw or a washer here or there that is accidentially missing or fell out in shipping. .
PSA’s been known to ship you the missing screws/washers/ missing part, in the mail, if its a small part or two, without issue if in fact you recieved a partskit without a certain part in them… IF the customer service rep didnt know what exactly little part you were missing, from the lpk, that may be why they didnt understand what you were saying. I just find it hard that psa would deliberately not take care of it. you may just need to call back and get a different rep…
Now getting back to the 2 years thing… that is a good bit absurd that you’ve had the kits this long, and found out you didnt have the parts, and instead of saying well gosh im a d…b…ss, im gonna go order the small parts now, cause i screwed up and didnt checek 2 years ago, or since its been so long you just accept responsibility for it cause you know you should… and order the replacement parts…
to me it all sounds like the 2 screws and 2 washers you’re missing just cant be replaced cause you dont know the proper name for the parts? like pivot pin detent spring. or magazine grip screw with lock washer.
im not trying to point a finger, rather im sharing some of my experiences, and what i’d do, as well as trying to understand what you are missing origionally… hell if i have them i may even mail you them if its that big a deal.
Bud, the entire reason I’ve tried to explain this to you is because I don’t work for PSA, I’m not a mod, I’m just a dude. I don’t have any affiliation to the company at all.
This is true of b5 grips also. Always IN the grip.
I have Extras. @busted1200 , if you don’t have them, let me know - I’ll PM and get your address, and send you some. It’s no big deal. We’ll get you going.
