So with almost 4,600 comment’s on Christmas giveaway, could we start a pool to have a regular thing? Like a raffle ticket 5.00 or 10.00 for monthly or quarterly drawing forum members only, for PSA products.
I would even venture to say it could be an ammo prize pack with or without mags or a mystery gift worth x amount in gift card for PSA! 4000 × $5 =20,000 more than enough to pay the taxes too maybe!
6 drawings in 12 months would cost $30.00 a head For the year. Even if the prize was smaller and some of the funds generated would go to preserving our rights or helping veterans, etc. What do you think?
Random swag bag for the real posters here would be really cool.
I like where you are going with this idea and would definitely participate.
I like checking in just to see the other post and camaraderie they bring.
Maybe PSA will continue to run these giveaways more often. Even if it was a extra percentage off towards a item or maybe a discounted gift card.
The traffic that these giveaways generate have to be wildly successful profit wise for PSA.
Hey moderators what do you all think
?
They def are, I bought an ak the week before the drawing lol.
I would definitely participate also. Small gun shop I frequent most does 100 ticket raffles consistently, puts out some nice guns and packages.
Activity really slowed down here after the Christmas Giveaway ended. It was my first personally -and notably- a fun ride while it lasted.
I have mixed feelings about recurring giveaways. You can have too much of a good thing. I mean, I enjoyed the more creative and meaningful posts in the giveaway thread, but worry this place could devolve into a Publisher’s Clearinghouse of gun forums if things got carried away. I’d hate to see the PSA Forum become solely a marketing tool (arguably it already is just that), but moreover a dumping ground for one word posts from users that contribute heavily to giveaways and nothing else.
Can I just get some stickers?? Lol I’d pay $5 for a chance at a swag bag !
Good point.
Every entry regardless would be 5.00 and if there is not enough participation it gets donated to a useful purpose that we choose.
I guess your right…we don’t need more people who like guns to get together and communicate. We should just enjoy the ride while it lasts… ![]()
Yea that is a good point. Seems to make more sense to me now for a brick n mortar store to hold a drawing all thr time to get ppl inside. He gets business but not like some places.
Agreed. I kind of dont like strangers showing up for the giveaways and disappearing once they end. I was actually happy to see @mi_parente win the AK. At least he’s been a part of the forum before the giveaway compared to the freeloaders that showed up just for a short time.
I’ve had thoughts of my/our own type giveaway or exchange thing. But I know it wouldn’t be allowed. I have things I could put up and bless others with and it’d be a cool way to interact with each other.
Hmmm, maybe at The Gathering go to a specific PSA booth, give them your email address and here’s your Swag Bag. I don’t think that would create a quid pro quo.
This would be a great idea. I would absolutely throw in.
I would be on board with a once a month per person $5.00-10.00 raffle (depending on the item).
I would even suggest that it be a special item for “frequent fliers” that I could add to my “PSA" Wishlist that I could add to my cart on my frequent, monthly PSA orders. A raffle amongst, let’s say 2k-ish posting people (or less) is one thing, but an open to everyone 20k+ is pushing into lottery odds, which is why I don’t play the lottery. I am beyond being “over” emails daily for placing entries into giveaways that require so many jumping through hoops, such as “following” & subscriptions that always seem to have a hundred thousand entries…. Nope. ![]()
A smaller raffle that could benefit PSA & its family of customers? Count me in!

It’s an Idea.
I think I would like it more if the Beneficiary were a Veteran Assistance Organisation or the like.
Is there a preference Org. that Jamin/JJE likes supporting? I personally give to the DAV, because that’s an Org. my Father had dealings with, and Trusted.
It’s not the only one - just my most consistent beneficiary.
When selling the tickets, put a limit on them, release the info on the boards first. I’d love the see the money ( if not met) go to a veterans organization, or any of the 2a groups putting up the good fight.
I think you guys have some great ideas. But you’re talking about something with an end goal that is completely different from that of the giveaways. The giveaways are meant to bring the new guys in. To increase the forum (and hopefully web store) traffic. To gain NEW customers.
Sure lots of people are here for the giveaways and gone forever. But I’m sure some stick around and end up making purchases of some sort.
There are some good ideas here. Prob can’t do anything “pool” related but swag type stuff is definitely achievable. Keep the ideas coming and I’ll run them up the ladder.
“Flash” giveaways with small swag prizes for the guys that are here on a daily basis. Only last 24-48 hours.
Swag is good economical advertising and even a conversation starter.
I’m proud to wear mine on a regular basis.
