I didn’t know where the influxes came from during the giveaways, but then again I don’t subscribe to those other channels.
But now it all makes complete sense.

I understand the marketing process but it would be nice to have some sort of member only drawing IMHO.

They do become members. 9 out of 10 only post for the Giveaway and then leave.
But if we snagged a couple that hung around and give good input that’s good too.

Maybe if the requirements were to be;
Member for a certain amount of time or more.
Or:
Member with a minimum of a certain amount of posts or more.

Both logistical nightmares at best, minefields at worst. Everybody that went to The Gathering this Spring got a swag bag for being a member, some of their kids got one too IIRC.

I see that PSA has a nice giveaway that involves driving sales of the coffee brand, but for those PSA patrons (such as myself) who do not drink coffee we won’t be participating. 
The upside to that is it reduces the number of participants and increases chances of winning for those who buy some coffee. 
. A hearty “congratulations” to the lucky people who have already scored some loot, apparently….
