How I can I ID a PA10 as a gen 2 or gen 3?
Gen1: no shelf on top of lower. Upper sides overhang the lower. Won’t work with 2 stage triggers
Gen 2: lower has a shelf on the top and works with 2stage triggers
Gen 3: same as Gen 2 but adds relief cuts in the buffer tube threading area.
Gen 3 s have been produced for about 7 years now.
A Gen 3 lower, will have relief cuts , at the buffer tube threads, for all the various 308 BCG’s.
Relief cuts photo.. by the buffer head.
Some styles of 308 BCG’s did not play well with the original PA10 lowers.
Toolcraft 308 BCGs… did not play well in some PA10s. The angle of the cut at the back of the BCG front body was to “straight” Pic…
Vs the Azimuth style cut, both styles were sometimes used by AERO. ( And as far as I can tell still are )
Right below the FP retainer hole.
