A Fister is a term used in the military for forward observers. FiST stands for Fire Support Team. I have that name because it’s funny, the logo/shield is the FiST logo. I use that because I am currently in the military as a field artillery officer. I was overseas during the Iranian crisis last year and was south of Mosul in 2017.

I don’t like either of them, both are bad in their own ways. Trump played the middle class like a fiddle while the rich got richer. It’s not 100% his fault because most of his party blindly backed him. There was also the whole Jan 6th insurrection. Trying to overthrow an electoral process that could end our democracy is nothing like property damage done during the BLM riots. To be clear I do not condone the BLM rioting but I definitely understand the frustration behind the people doing it.
Biden is playing the gun control card like Obama did and nothing got/will get passed. It’s all to appease gun control advocates for their votes. Biden is currently pissing China off with the COVID probe into the Wuhan Lab, so not really sure what you’re getting at. I was also jumping on the hypocrisy of calling out democrats for doing something while republicans do the exact same thing, or worse, are the only ones doing it. Republicans have no place attacking Biden about China if they are just as guilty of it.
The military is also not “woke,” they’re changing with social norms and are in line with other country’s militaries. The current issue in the military is the amount of white supremacists and gang members who join as a status symbol.

One thing we can probably agree on there is no perfect candidate to be president of this country extremely diverse country but we are a country of citizens not of immigrants.
Also this is a republic we don’t have one extreme leader like they doing democracies you know that though and you probably know the definition better much luck to you again we’re praying for you keep you safe.
Oh and I definitely disagree on the riots they should have been much more peaceful you don’t burn this city down because somebody got shot if you look at the statistics you should know that statistics say many more people of lighter skin get shot then people of darker skin another words more white people get shot by the police and killed then why people it’s just a fact God bless you have a good one
I agree, they should have been peaceful however they’re still allowed to be angry, riots go with the saying “A person is smart, people are dumb.”
According to the report from Yale linked below, black people are killed at a rate 2.6 times higher than white people. While more white people may have been killed, a larger percentage of the black population has been killed by police. So say you have 200 ants and 50 bees. If you kill 40 bees and 50 ants you’re still impacting the bee community more than the ant community even though you killed less bees. Also if you’re unarmed you’re more likely to be killed by police if you’re black or hispanic.
Just don’t forget to cross reference that stat with who commits the most violent crime, which officers are most likely to shoot said individuals and where those shootings take place. Your stat balances out pretty fast when you do. Have you ever taken the training that shows you just how quickly an individual has to decide whether to pull the trigger or not to protect him/herself or others? Are there mistakes? Sure, but you need to tell the whole story, not just the media talking points.
And, I don’t care what “saying” tries to justify it, beating people up, stealing and/or destroying millions of dollars of private property and burning city blocks of private and public property to terrorize local officials, influence the justice system and scare local officials to get your own way is not excusable.
The worst part of this is that the people perpetuating most of this are simply the “useless idiots” being indoctrinated and then manipulated by the power brokers until their usefulness wears out. Once everything is torn down, they’ll be thrown away just like everybody else. Sad really.
I have, and those mistakes result in death. George Floyd’s death was avoidable. His past crimes do not justify being killed in police custody. Daunte Wright was killed because a veteran cop mistook her gun for a taser. Breonna Taylor was killed because the police made a mistake and executed a raid with a warrant for a guy who was already in custody. Training prevents mistakes from happening, my problem is with people who excuse the mistake because the person had a criminal history or they think cops are infallible. The police do not have a right to kill you for resisting arrest, their job is to apprehend you and put you in front of a judge so you can be charged with resisting. If a pharmacist makes a mistake and gives you the incorrect medication or dose and you die from their mistake they deserve to be fired, if it was intentional they deserve prison time. It should not be different for any profession, including police. The thing is everyone in a position where they can help fix the issue constructively is too busy pointing fingers or worried about getting reelected.
I also was not trying to justify the riots with that saying. I was implying an angry person voices a grievance, a group of angry people with the same grievance can easily start riots. The riots and insurrection both terrorized government officials and they should have never happened in the first place. And I agree the people at the riots and insurrection were all used as puppets. There were people arrested at the capitol who were there because they thought republicans would bail them out if they were arrested, only to realize they were puppets as well.
And please don’t quote any statistics from liberal Marxist twisted hippie colleges with safe spaces and teddy bears.
