Is it possible they are trying to phase the Rock out? I want to build one in the FDE copper barrel configuration and have been wanting this for a long while. It seems that most of the threaded barrels are out of stock and never re-stock. Looking further into a Rock build and the lack of parts that maybe the hype is gone. ?
Still love mine.
They sell that well. PSA mostly does batches of stuff. They will probably be back in stock.
I want to love one too.
I thought they had one for like 299 over the weekend in daily deals or might have been dagger.
Never mind was the black one.
Did you set an In Stock reminder. They’ll send a reminder once it’s in stock for an hour.
I sure have. It’s been over a year. Hopes are dwindling. I look twice a day too.
3-5 PM is your best bet. Right around 4 is when they update.
The copper barrel is listed as “closeout” so I doubt they’ll be making any more of those. Probably didn’t sell particularly well. The stainless and the rainbow “chameleon” are also both listed as “closeout.”
The Rock is not discontinued and there are still parts, including barrels, available. The “gold” is still available in both threaded and standard. I guess the bling version is more popular than the copper.
So, yeah, I’m guessing that you missed out.
Peace favor your sword,
Kirk
I just picked up the Threaded barrel, Optic cut, 10 magazine and bag kit.
I am looking forward to giving it a go.
I’ve been waffling on Rock versus S&W (much more expensive) versus Ruger (no threaded barrel except as a replacement) so there are interested parties out there.
My buddy has a Rock and a Ruger. He prefers the Rock!
I’ve shot all three and the Rock is my favorite. Dry fire the trigger with snaps several hundred times and the trigger is day and night better. The Ruger trigger is just bad IMHO. I didn’t like the heat in the S&W from the rotating barrel. I do want to try the Tisas offering though.
I have the Smith, Rock and Ruger. I prefer the Smith over the rest just better quality but you have to pay for it, as you would if you wanted the FN which is really expensive. I like the Ruger I especially like the Rock/Ruger/LC Carbine in 5.7. Rock Trigger is the worst of the 3, oh and I have the Tisas and it is a nice big handgun also priced around Rock range, not sure if it has a threaded barrel version. I have not spent a lot of time with it yet with the price of ammo for 5.7 here where I live.
The Ruger 57 price dropped drastically after I bought one. They are in a nice price range now. But for the buck the Rock and Tisas are hard to beat. PSA has a Tisas for 279 right now. Not sure what the difference between the two they are selling besides price.
As far as shooting I would take the SW over the others most of the time it is nice and crisp. Some don’t like Ruger trigger but I like it better than Rock more precise to me. But when I say things like that doesn’t mean much just preference.
Oh I see the difference on the two Tisas I seen. One is over 400 bucks but it is like the one I got for 299 has optics cut. Then this one!
279 dollars almost sounds like a scam! haha

Thanks. I decided to go Ruger - getting it for $390. Upgrading the trigger with M*Carbo is pretty cheap if I decide I don’t like it. Doesn’t have the threaded barrel, but I’m not convinced I’d really use it enough and, if I really do, I can drop the coin on a replacement barrel. Given 5.7 ammo prices, this is an occasional range toy and totally an emotional buy rather than a necessity.
Cheers!
Haha all of mine were emotional buys! In my defense though I used to have a source for 26 dollar a box FN ammo, now all of it is 34.95. Once in a while my little store will get the Fiocchi 150 round box. I grab them when I can so not a blasting mag dumping type of range gun.

When I do find that box it is like 80 bucks!
Gotta buy ammo in bulk online with free/flat rate shipping or catch a store with price matching for the ammo. 5.7 has only been getting cheaper so far though.
