i dont think ill bother with either at this time.

I’d be in for a complete optics cut slide and a threaded barrel similar to the Dagger packages they offer.

Honestly was hoping they’d launch the Rock 57 in that configuration and a base model without. Figured they were having some time/supply crunches with getting slides milled and threaded barrels produced. Hopefully the options will build out nicely over time like their other offerings.

oh im sure its coming in a month or so.

patience is hard to have though.

I’m very excited to hear that it will be out just in time for my birthday! I have been waiting for this version to come out since Shot Show.

@InfernoDTW hiya! welcome to the forums… hang out and post some more… we love to chat!

I can’t believe they had extra mags so close to launch. Our mag ban is July 1st so I bought spares while I wait for the threaded option. I waited almost 5 months to get spares for the M&P 10mm, and 5.7x28mm with a 10 Rnd limit defeats the whole purpose.

welcome to the forums @theedeadpool … i too was surprised pleasently that they had the extra mags ready to go. that was awesome, even if it took a little longer to ship the mags than it did the other items in my order… either way, im happy now that i have my extra mags, and a decent number of them for the pistol now. as i’ve said in other threads, im excited to see if anyone will produce extended magazines for the rock.

Anybody got any insider information about when the threaded berral option will drop?

Unfortunately not.

I have a question for anyone who has received the Optics Ready Rock. The Red Dot Footprint is described as “ This 5.7 Rock optics-ready slide is cut for direct mount Shield footprint optics “. Has the footprint been modified to accept the Holosun 507K which has a modified Shield Optics Mount with the Holosun not having the holes for the rear Shield mounting posts which requires there be no rear mounting posts and having shallower front mounting holes which requires shorter front mounting posts ?.
If you’d post a picture of the slide with the optics cover plate removed that would answer my question.

@Lucky_Luciano Welcome to the forums Lucky! Glad to have you!!!

@Bigaltyson Also welcome to the forums! Hope you make yourself at home and post alot! …
sadly i have a standard rock, not a optic ready one so i cant help there… but im sure someone will.

Didn’t catch the date on your post; was your question ever answered?

Posting this, may be of help. I got an optics ready Rock, it was a quick order when they came in and I didn’t even notice it wasn’t the threaded bbl action. No prob… will get when they come in.
I mounted a Holosun 507k X2, actually the helping me at gun shop put it on. I commented that the screws (M4 mounting screws that came with the Holosun) looked a little long.
Well, they were. This optic fits the pattern on the cut slide and can mount without an adaptor plate; but especially without
using the plate the screws extend too far into the slide and 100% of the time interfere with extraction, good news is that if you cut down the screws, it works perfectly.
As far as cowitness, I planned on using slightly taller sights, prob fiber front and blacked out back, but nothing ridiculously tall.
With the little shoulders on the back of the Holosun you “can” cowitness with the stock Glock sights but you have to be looking for the top of that front sight.
This little optic fits the slide perfectly , no overhang, looks like it was made to be there.
Sorry for long post!

Thanks. Just the info I needed. Unfortunately, I now need to wait until the separate optics ready slide is available as Palmetto didn’t ship my Complete Optics Ready Pistol order to WA State in time to avoid the July 1, 10+ round magazine import ban ( as they had advertised ) so I had to Cancel or they would have shipped it without the magazines and would not have refunded me for not including them.
Luckily, I ordered a non optics ready model two days earlier which they did ship immediately, so now just have to wait until I can order the slide itself.

I Understand… in spite of the issues with PSA,
I still think you’re onto a good solid shooting gun. The caliber is much maligned, but I think FN was on to something. On the mag capacity thing, take heart; Washington state still is still U.S, and beautiful. … both of us could be in much worse places. If carry is allowed there, the folks at Lobo gunleather can make a shoulder rig with the 5.7 on one side and 3 mags on the weak side. I have that rig for my 5-Seven, and I’m ready for the zombie saloon apocalypse.

Best regards
Paul
