I’m really wanting to get the jakl 9 but haven’t heard much about if there are any reliability issues. Have any of you bought it and what is your thoughts? Wait like 6 months for hopefully working out any kinks or is it solid since it’s based on the regular jakl and they already have the arv lower. I just hate buying stuff and being a test dummy. I appreciate any input.
If there were issues you would have heard. Instead thousands have been sold and no one is reporting any issues. Furthermore, the lower and mag have now been proven for years. Its GTG.
Thanks that’s what was weird is I haven’t heard a single issue. Normally there’s always something kink wise when something comes out. YouTube or otherwise I can’t really find anything negative. You make a good point.
The 9 is the 4th iteration of the jakl. The lower and mags have been around for years. The gas system has now been used on 5.56, 308, and 300blk.
I feel like it could be the ultimate 9mm PCC. Especially for the price. The mp5 is higher quality but it has no modern furniture. I love the mpx but it’s so expensive and the proprietary mags is a turn off. I kinda want the Daniel defense PCC but I can buy two jakl9s for that. I already have the AKV and the ARV so obviously it’s pretty cool using the scorpion mags and just having one platform. I guess I just have to do it but was hoping there would be something unreliable so I could be a cheapskate and wait longer lol
PTR makes their mp5 with a mlok foreend.
Yeah I think zenith and a couple others do also don’t they? That’s hard to buy a clone instead of the real thing though for sure
Price of a clone vs real makes it much easier to buy….
question: why do you say that the mp5 is higher quality? im not trying to start an argument here, but you have yet to even hold or shoot a jakl 9 and you cannot find any issues with it being reported on the net, so my question is how can you know the MP5 is higher quality? and further more, which manufacturer of the MP5 are we using as comparison? I ask this all because it kinda rubs me wrong when people do this without ever even handling / firing the competitor, basing their judgement on the competitor’s historical reputation if done by "the original manufacturer”.
as for the sig i like their mpx line alot but you’re right the proprietary magazines suck, and is an automatic do not buy in my world. plus they are a bit pricey for what they are if you ask me.
Now the Daniel defense, yeah they make good kit, i have one of their rifles, but i didnt pay anywhere near retai for it, which is the only reason i bought it. they’re way overpriced, and like you said, you could buy 2 for the price of that one Daniel, so why bother with them. I guess i vote with my wallet too much. lol..
And GuitarGuy is right about PTR making a clone of the MP5 with mlok forend. their mp5 clone is top notch. he has one and the quality of that build and the case it comes in etc is phenomenal. not a bad price either for 1600-2000.00 i suppose for all you get.

I mean that’s what most people would I assume consider a given that the MP5 is the king of all PCCs. I don’t own one because I feel like a cheapskate every time I think about buying one I go well I could buy three or four PSA pccs for the same price 
I don’t think in the slightest bit that PSA doesn’t make a quality product I just think that it’s like comparing a Ferrari to a Corvette. Maybe the Corvette can beat the Ferrari but if you want the best you’re probably going to get a Ferrari. I think PSA has several advantages especially if you already own the AKV and the ARV like I do and have a ton of mags that’s what makes it more appetizing. Do I wish it was roller delayed? Yeah but I also get the cost factor and the weight. Again I wasn’t trying to harp on anything PSA makes I love their stuff it’s just I guess thinking out loud trying to talk myself out of buying something for a thousand bucks lol

Even the Demil kits of MP5’s and the Flats are more than I want to spend on one! I could buy an AK-V, a Can, and 1,000 rounds of 9mm for what it would cost to rebuild a Demil Real MP5…
I want to try the saber ar-v, can’t wait til my states gun ban is gone.
