JAKL Bullpup (Olcan) chassis. IS this gonna happen? No info = about to roll my own

People want all their stuff for $100. They forget we are coming off of 4 years of Biden caused inflation.

Which I would say is a bit ironic, since PSA is pretty good at making cheap but quality parts like lowers. And they stand by their prodicts if there is an issue and do their best to resolve it.

But the Jakl stuff has always been a more premium offering, at least price wise, like their Saber lineup. But even ignoring that, the price is fair, in my opinion, given what they’re selling and when comparing it to other similar offerings on the market.

Polymer molds are not cheap.

I haven’t seen anything mentioning this, but does anyone happen to know, or maybe could get the answer? Can the grip on the Olcan lower be swapped out with any AR15 grip?

Going by how PSA usually operates, this should be the case, but I haven’t seen any info confirming this or not. I prefer the textile feel of the rubber magpul grips, and when I get my hands on a lower I want to put on the K2+ grip I have sitting around not currently in use.

Yes. Just a standard ar grip

99.9% yes. Comes with the Kung-■■. You might give that one a chance, as the wrist angle is very useful on a bullpup. Love the K2+ for the same reason.

Yeah, I might give it a shot, but I already know that I don’t really like the feel of hard plastic grips. Which is why I was asking if I’d be able to put my K2+ on it once I get my hands on one.

Full disclosure: I 100% agree. I have both and the angle difference is small….. but it does exist.

I have considered mounting a K2+ on a garbage lower, using a heat gun, and see what happens. Worry that it will kill the soft layer.

Managed to get an order in for the FDE Olcan lower when PSA restocked this morning around 11:30am EDT.

Looking forward to getting it in my hands. And lol, they’re already sold out again.

I wonder why they don’t list it as supporting the shorter uppers, it should be fairly agnostic on the length of the upper functionally. It might be that at that length the muzzle is just uncomfortably close to the hand.

Thinking about it some more, you should market this as more than just a jakl upper host, technically most bufferless AR uppers should work with it, even a standard AR upper with a .22 conversion bolt.
