Jakl 2.0 was not on my 2025 bingo card!

PSA has been hitting it out of the ballpark this year! This Jakl 2.0 looks pretty awesome. I’m really looking forward to the .300blk version the most. What did you think about it? The new stock looks great. Hope they make it available for the 1st gen Jakl.

The new stock should have a pic rail version that can be attached to jakl 1.0.

When are they hitting the market

Will the new charging handle be sold separately like the knurled charging handle? And will it fit the sled on the current Jakl? I’d like to upgrade mine but don’t want a whole new rifle.

Looks like they are in the concept phase with it. That means depending on the polling they will begin soon or push it out. Remember that it is PSA’s goal to make everything on the list.

That we don’t know yet. Perhaps it will depending on how it interfaces with the sled.

This is what I’m hoping for too. Would love for the option to exist to use the new folding one on the gen. 1 uppers.

It also looks like they’ve changed the bolt carrier. I’m also hoping that the bolt carrier is lighter and can be purchsed separately (eventually) and dropped into a gen. 1 upper.

The stock looks great, but I’m going to get an HDA3 stock when they finally release. So PSA’s stock might be a non-starter for me by the time they get it released for sale on its own. Also, I’m kinda guessing that the stock + needing to buy a separate picatinny adapter for the lower would likely cost around the same as the HDA3’s are projected to cost right now. So it would be more of a preference choice between the two.
(however, an ODG stock from the Jakl 2.0 on an ODG 18" .308 Jakl would look awesome I think. Hint, hint, PSA)

Me neither, however I don’t know if it is different enough from the original (which I love) to get me to buy the 2.0.

Of course right when I buy the FDE 308 jakl they announce a 2.0 version :joy:

Welcome to the forums. The 2.0 is going to be very different. Upper and lower are not standard milspec.

I dont know how much compatibilty other than an lpk (and even not all of it) there will be. Lots of changes.

No worries. The 2.0 isnt available and wont be for a while.

Fixing the charging handle would be important to me. I said to @rockymountainjeep I loved the JAKL right up until the point I shot it.

I was hoping that the 2.0 would have gone with a short stroke piston system. Maybe it will happen on the Jakl 3.0

Or they could just make it it’s own weapon platform.

They could even call it the Hyena.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up calling it the Sabre Jakl at launch.

Anybody want to take a guess at what it will cost? I’ll start it with $1300.

That defeats the whole concept of the jakl which is the ak/ar hybrid.

Isn’t that the Vuk as well?

Slightly different on things.

welcome to the forums!

welcome aboard! were glad to have you!

I think we were all blindsided pleasantly by the Jakl 2.0 announcement. but it is really a logical evolution so im quite excited for it.
