I am not comfortable with the thought of the current radical left-wing administration attempting anything. The circus freak show running the country calls it common sense gun reform but will jump at the chance to make felons out of each and everyone of us who don’t turn them in
Actually, the founding fathers did not create the 2nd amendment just for muskets. That’s one of the stupidest arguments against the 2nd amendment. There were many more powerful weapons. Private citizens could even own cannons! How can you overthrow an oppressive government if the government regulates and restricts all the weapons? You got a little right that Jesus needs to be the Lord of all and that we need to ban abortion, but otherwise you are very uninformed.
The founding Fathers also could have never imagined a 1st amendment that would be carried to the masses through television, internet, phones, tweets etc where anybody can voice their misguided thoughts and opinions. Yet here you are.

There are no second amendment rights. Please, let’s quit articulating it that way. The second amendment provides protection of God given rights.

I have no problem discussing the 1st amendment or what our founding fathers were thinking when the constitution was written but those are 2 broad subjects. a general statement to cover both does neither justice. I see you ended with a statement about misguided opinions and thoughts and our freedoms to express them. only through the exchange of opinions and ideas do we grow as people. if we listen to only those who think like us you end up in the shallow pool of knowledge

This statement by our founding fathers tels me that my right to keep and bear arms is granted me by the creator and is not subject to whether or not someone thinks I’m a half cocked deranged moron.
Granted, the 2nd amendment was written during the time of the musket, but it still met force with equal force, and was written to protect Americans from tyranny in Government. Self defense was a given in those days and not subject to debate.

do you really believe that if the US military decided to seize control of this country that the population is capable of fighting them off? because I don’t. I served in the air force and some of the technology I witnessed would blow your sock off. it’s the arm services policy to only release technology to the public after 30 years. so look at what we now have and imagine what they must have…scary ain’t it

pres. Trump did the same thing every other republican has done to change abortion laws TALK in the last 20 years the republicans have introduced less than 5 bills in congress to change any part of our current laws yet they profess to be the pro life party. I can’t tell according to their actions.
It’s not just the military or police I worry about… it’s the lack of when the Democrats defund them or throw them in prison so there aren’t any police officers left and no one wants to become one
now I don’t think you have to worry about any of that stuff happening. we aren’t in a war zone. while I do speak my mind when I debate ideas with people I respond to I by no means see them as the enemy. we are all American. lively debate is part of who we are
