Have a piece of the foam from the space shuttle around here and have had a tour of that place that I really don’t think any civi has had.
I saw this demo in person as a kid and it’s still crazy to me. Space shuttle heat tiles insulate and dissipate heat so well you can pick them up barehanded straight out of a 2200F curing oven.
By the time I put it on the counter from the oven at broil, same thing.

The systems, guidance and maneuvering computer is a proprietary software. Hardened and redundant computer.
