And here I thought you were just that wooly down there.

I dont drink at all except for communion I have wine about half a glass with crackers in remembrance. The vodka is strictly for the C-pap Machine. The one bottle shown last me about 3 months. During covid vodka was all I could find for disinfectant. You dont dare use rubbing alcohol in a C-Pap can cause blindness. Anyway I thought the name was a funny coincidence.
Man Colorado has gone down hill from my last visit. I really hate to see that because itās such a beautiful part of the country ![]()
If I have another week like this one, Iām going to start drinking.
Today I went in the pool. With my cel. Then we come home, and I see my wife has left her cel on the console. So I grab it, and I canāt put in in my pockets because theyāre wet. Iām dragging my walker out of the back seat and Iāve set her cel on the roof, where it was still when a very nice heavy rain came. So I have wrecked one, maybe two cellphones in less than 2 hours.
Take the battery out and stick the phone in a bag of rice to pull out the moisture if itās not too late ![]()

Got the rice, but couldnāt open the battery compartment.
Well just put the whole phone in it then ![]()

I set mine in my smoker with no chips @ 120 deg for an hour and it worked. Smelled pretty good for the rest of the day too, lol.
Now thatās a new one on me but hey why not ![]()
Happened like a week or so ago. We didnāt have any rice down @ the coast so I figured WTH if itās smoked itās smoked so why not.
Phones are a dime a dozen as long as your not buying a xphone.
Oh and prepaid is the way to go. You donāt get nickel and dimed every month.
Nobody asked my opinion but I like MetroPCS ![]()
Samsung Z-Flip, wonāt buy another one. Provider is good though. $29.99 flat no games.
Alcatel flip phone here, $19.99. Tracfone is the only carrier I have been with since day one and I will stay with.
80 proof disinfects nothing. 1 to 4 youāre essentially cleaning any dust particles.
No reason to spread a bad idea. If you decide to use 140 proof be cautious of that as well, if you break down the plastics in your reservoir (which 140 proof may well be capable of) youāll release chemicals from such that are even worse.
Stick to the white vinegar or dishwasher that is recommended.
All Im saying is it works great for me, and while I havenāt tasted vinegar or dish washing liquid, I prefer grain alcohol. But thank you for offering.
TracFone is good also, Verizon owns them.
Iām all about Not spending big bucks on a phone. A $100 phone is as good as a $1000 phone ![]()
yep, I do the TracFone thing. The funny thing is, at work and on the road I tend to get better reception than people with expensive phones with pricy plans.
The rice thing doesnāt really work well. Water stays trapped inside and can ruin the phone later. Use a vacuum, remove micro cards and the battery if you can and then vacuum every open place and every opening for as long as you can stand it. Any Place water can get in. I do a lot of kayaking and sometimes I forget to secure my phone properly after taking a trophy pic so Iāve learned how to dry out a phone properly.
