All I need now is to borrow an armorer’s wrench to cinch that castle-nut and I’m ready for the range.
Jim
go ahead and buy an armorer’s wrench. You will need it more than once.
I second GuitarGuy. Congratulations on the first build!
with the statement of first build you will get good use of the armorer’s wrench.
adult Lego’s is addicting.
nice looking buld
“Adult Legos” I’m using that next time my wife gives me grief.
Nice!
Thank you mr.jeffdh!
Thanks Josh_PSA
I’m real happy with this one
Nice!
I have 2 “premium” ARs with lots of upgrades, but there’s something to be said for a basic bulletproof build with iron sights. I went back to basics with my recent 3rd AR build. Looks much like yours. Congrats!!!
What Jeff said - building ARs can be addictive. For a while there I was hoping for new grandchildren so I would have an excuse to assemble another one
Did you start with a stripped lower and a build kit? Thats an excellent way to learn the ins and outs of a lower receiver for sure.
Andy
P.S. It looks good!
Andylate,
I purchased a Blem AR Nitride Classic upper kit and paired with a Tyranny-15 stripped lower. Additionally, I will add that the “How To” video PSA posted (with Hank Strange?) was very helpful.
Jim
It’s a great feeling when you finish a built, especially your first.
Speaking of firsts……. Not first AR just first from psa. I do have a question about tubes though. If you sbr a pistol by adding a stock, is the buffer assembly the same? I would think all you need to do is change out the tube, to accept a 6 pos stock. Same spring and buffer?
If you have a pistol specific tube then yes, you change it out, but spring and buffer stay the same. If you use a brace like the SBA3 that uses a regular mil spec tube, then you just remove the brace and add the stock.
And now I see that the tube is adjustable. That’s probably something I should have noticed. You reminded me to go back an re read everything, or just have a good look at the pic.
I have that pistol just not the blem version. Absolutely love it.
love mine, be prepared for some looks at the range. with the short barrel the people next to you will feel the pressure and is a weee bit loud.
Nice job. Now your hooked so u will need the wrench for your next build anyway, so get one now! I bought the same kit, and WELL WORTH the money. Close to 500 rounds through, and NO
issues! Happy building/ Happy shooting!
