Local Gun Sales ( Post Permit)

Weekend Gun Sales here in the Big City have been to say the least , Brisk!!!

Last night I had conversations with friends at 4 seperate High Volume Independent Shops…all Reported Sales up 200 to 300% over the previous Saturday.

Seems the absolute inconvenience of dealing with the Pistol Purchase Permit process has kept multitudes of people Out of the gun market.

Most reported an exceptionally high volume of Women buying their First firearm of any type. Women buying guns since the Pandemic has been a boon for most retailers.

Now…of course if the media was writing this. The narrative would be " More Guns on the Streets with absence of Permitting Process"

The truth is…people are tired of having to jump through hoops and contending with duplications of effort regarding the background checks. The NICS System from the start should have put an end to North Carolina’s antiquated rules .

One Shop told me that Sales were so good, What was once a very Liberal 90 Day Lay Away Policy is now No Longer. 90 days means 90 days per the purchase agreement. Day 91 and the gun is back on the shelf and the minimum 25% Deposit is lost. They do of course warn customers of the Drop Dead dates approach by phone.

Tax returns

Nah Brother…this Flipped like a Toggle Switch…and the Staff was listening to what the Customers had to say.

Mecklenburg County Gun Owners and Permit Seekers have Never liked Sheriff Garry MacFadden and having him and the ridiculous process removed from what should have always been a simple process is likened to a Liberation.

This pace will certainly Not be sustained but it was interesting to watch it unfold for a day.

I LOVE to see it! The more they sale, the more they Innovate! Bring in on baby :metal:There’s NO reason each and every American shouldn’t have a little collection numbering at the very least, in the Ten’s of differing firearm options. Now we really NEED to abolish the NFA, and be able to walk out with SBS/SBR and Suppressors in the same fashion as passing a NICS check is good enough for whatever firearm.

Just read a story out of Raleigh and the Fuquay-Varina area of NC.

Sales are still Up 250% with a projection of Sales being up 100% for a Year over Year comparison.

One lady interviewed said she had just finished mowing her lawn and decided it was time to pick up a 9mm for Self Defense. This kind of buy would have been thwarted weeks ago.

The permit process was always a hassle if you were not a resident of a rural or sane county. Once the permits dropped, I went and bought a celebratory handgun! I didn’t want to break the bank and went with a Ruge Wrangler. Since then, I probably have bought at least ten handguns. Next step, is Constitutional Carry
