Marijuana and gun ownership discussion

This is the way I look @ things, God put everything on this planet to accommodate our needs naturally. It’s up to us to discover what works and what doesn’t. People want to slam the Bible but it really seems to me as though it was written to us as a love story for us, i.e. don’t eat pork, in historical perspective it likely would have killed us off. 10% literally meant do your part to help others.

Does anyone have any experience with friends or family using Delta 8 especially gummies?

There’s a lot worse things than weed that people can put in their system.

Yeah, like tap water or fresh air to name a few.

Hey you got any more of those gummy bears :bear:.

I couldn’t resist.

i too have to be on medication for pain, in fact i have a ton of opiate pain meds and would love to be able to try alternate forms of pain relief in the form of marijuana via edibles because i sure wouldnt smoke. however here in SC its not just federally illegal but the state too still says its illegal… so until it is legal, i’ll never know if its a course of action that could help me considerably or even a little, as i’ve never had it before. I’ve heard it is so good for some folks, that they can come totally off of opiates and live a clearer more comfortable life.

i’d love to see that happen… not that i even need to worry about the form as i have my cwp and just fill it out cause we have to.

i’ve used them both, delta 8 and delta 9. the delta 9 seems to do more for me than the 8 but both are a big help to get a good sleep, that is for sure. but overall they do help relax you, even if they tend to be a bit pricey. they dont really treat my pain much at all though, more for releif and relaxation.

I do. what are your questions?

So they don’t do anything for your pain @GamecockOperator?
8 and 9 are currently legal in Alabama but they sell them at every corner gas station so I’m concerned with what’s really in them.
I was hoping to see if the gummies or other edibles would at least reduce the need for opioids.
Thanks for all that have offered opinions and keep them coming.

Its basically 1 specific cannabinoid out the whole spectrum in cannabis.

I read they have like a 100. So 8 and also now 9 are mostly legal.

Smoking flower will give you full spectrum, basically they all contribute together to give you your high. Concentrates will be missing alot of them due to the process it takes to make it. Edibles i hear can work well for people especially if you dont like smoking. They can be strong and can cause some people anxiety so be careful at first.
Theres like a million diff strains, but there are a variety of specific ones that will help with specific things. Pain and nausea were a big one for my mom and her kemo. She said it helped alot and gave her a bit of an appetite to get food down which she almost couldnt at all.
Judging from HER experience, the flower was the most helpful in her situation.

So just some real quick reading the flower is the less potent CBD .03 THC versus smoking straight bud?

Flower would be actually pot in the bud form,
Flower is smoked or vaped etc. and has all the various components in CBD etc.

I say pack that bowl, put on some sublime, jam a little, eat everything in the refrigerator and go take a nap hahhahaha

In high school I was high ALOT. I over did it many times, and by that I mean it made me slow. If I only hit once or twice it made me feel good.

My dad grows his own, he’s a big gun guy too. I personally think pot shouldn’t effect anything. Gun ownership or jobs or anything.

the 8 and 9 really just relax me… they do help with the pain some, but i’d bet the real deal would do quite a bit. once its legal i’ll let yall know. anythings gotta be better than being on the 270mg per day im on now of opiates. I’ve been buying my delta 8 and 9’s from www.botanyfarms.com i highly recommend them.

Thank you all for your input I greatly appreciate
all of the sharing.

I was leaning towards edibles from the onset but know I’m trying to be more open minded to vaping or possibly smoking. To many choices

I know several people who use the legal versions of cannabis (delta 8, thc-0, etc). So many different variations. The gummies seem to be the favorite overall. Lots of complaints about many of the vape versions, mainly because the cartridge gets gummed up and unusable. They love it because it helps with sleep, anxiety, etc, it’s legal/easy to get, and is actually pretty cheap comparatively.

i wont smoke if it is legal. period. I will once it becomes legal try the edibles and see if it helps me or not. I dont want the vaping because of all the chemicals and smoking as well, not to mention im on oxygen so that pretty much kills smoking anything… so edibles it is. regardless of how fast the smoke helps you get the hit… just cant do it.

Not limited to one!
different times of day would maybe benefit from different intake methods…
In other words try them all and see what sticks as you say that is a lot of opioids and any possible reduction has to be good for your health

Yep that’s the route I’m going to take. Obviously everyone will have a preferred method of delivery. I’ll experiment until I find what works best for me. And it could be a combination of a couple. Anything to reduce my 200mg of narcs and 1000mg of muscle relaxers every day
