I may or may not be sitting on a slew of domain names…
The current environment is like the wild west. So many options, so much info.
I have found the complete flower to be the total package. Vapes, oils, waxes and pills represent a partial picture. It works for some but it isn’t the complete natural gift. THC, terpenes, cannabinoids and other chemical components are all part of it as the medical industry is coming to find out. This is why the original THC pills were a failure for Chemo patients.
Life experience has taught me that almost nothing works on stomach issues like a lil’ Mary Jane. Nausea, tummy bubbles, Sea sickness, anything stomach related.
Please be aware that edibles can and will affect you for a couple of days. The full aspect will hit in an hour and last according to dosage but some people will feel various effects for days. Groggy, short term memory, etc.
While probably 98% of the public can use this natural supplement there is a percentage that will suffer psychosis or trigger schizophrenic episodes.
Absolutely it would. I wouldnt even start off on edibles…probably want to get some sort of tolerance for it going first. Flower is pry way to start off honestly. The 2 are totally diff worlds.
Yea ya do, your here aren’t you…?
30+ years as a FF/EMT has proven to me and most honest honest First Responders…
Alcoholics are a way bigger problem to society than the weed smokers.
I wrote 100’s of reports on the carnage and violence drunks create
Drunks want to fight, tokers want a Twinkie.
Alcohol = the #1 gateway drug - most all of us started with stealing Dads beer.

Exactly. Used to smoke cigarettes in my younger years. Keywords: “used to.” Luckily I never became addicted to the REAL Devil’s lettuce.
When, not if, it becomes federally legal you should look into RSO (Rick Simpson oil). You may have heard of it but it’s an activated edible THC oil. The creator was trying for it to treat the symptoms of cancer and like other edibles it does wonders for sleep and pain.
My gf bought me some from an IL dispensary (so glad I don’t live there anymore) and I used it in 2022 after fracturing two of my lumbar vertebrae during a seizure behind the wheel of a SUV. The only time I ever wanted opiates was when I was in the ER screaming in pain. I was begging for morphine and when they finally gave it to me there was instant relief but man did it feel like a short time before I was an asking for more meds. I was prescribed oxycodone and muscle relaxers which made me a pasted out zombie through Christmas & new years. All the drugs they gave me and maybe the seizure itself left me constipated for 2 weeks even though I was eating regularly. The RSO mitigated my pain so much more effectively without the side effects or depression. Not only was the RSO helping my physical pain, but it also relieved my anxiety about the world and trauma I had just experienced.
Best of luck
ok, so since you and AZ_joe are saying that 100 mg is heavy stuff, i’ll have to take your word, so if it ever becomes legal i’ll know what to at least steer away from to begin with.
You wouldnt start with edibles because of what exactly?
and as for flower, what do you mean / use it for remember im totally uneducated when it comes to this stuff… do you eat this flower? smoke it? burn it like incense? If i had to smoke it or vape it i’d prefer vapes… basically i would want to do the smoke option never if possible. and vaping im not keen on either. but its second to last so far as i know about ingestion.
yeah thats what i h ave noticed myself about the Morphene from my time in the hospital when i was first admitted to treat the cancer. the instant pain relief was wonderful, the short rebound to needing more, well not so good. and now im on it for over 4 years dailyand you’re so right about what you were taling about about side effects, being constipated, coming off withdrawls, all of it horrible. i’m no zombie with the meds, but i can see h9ow lesser men could be
hahaaha just kidding about the lesser men part. either way i would think the gummie things would be the easiest way to try it and manage intake the best in easily measured doses.
100mg of an edible is out of this world for someone that hasn’t already built a tolerance to weed.
Start out at 15mg and go from there for a first timer. Some people feel 15mg at first.
On the flip side, a person that smokes weed daily wouldn’t even feel 15mg.
Edibles hit hard and last long. They kick in about an hour after you eat them. They give a different feeling that just smoking weed.
“Flower” is just plain old weed. Its what you smoke, its the “buds”
Edibles give more of a body high instead of a head high. That’s why they’re good for pain. They cause anxiety as does smoking until you build a tolerance.
Like he said, without a tolerance it will be overwhelming and probably have a bad experience with it. Flower is a bit easier to manage at first id say, especially dosage. Ive heard wonder stories about that RSO
25mg for those with no tolerance aka a 100mg edible cut into quarters may cause parinoia, heavy body feeling, disorientation, auditory exclusion. Paranoia being oh man did i take too much, or how do I get off of this high? Most or all of that goes away as you develop a tolerance to it.
The 10mg edibles would be a better place to start, once your state regulations change.
Just my humble $0.02 worth of kowledge.
Alright so another question on the gummies.
Are the strength / mgs consistent across the board? I haven’t seen any type of regulations.
@Jammo
Arizona has a state regulating body DHS, Department of Health Services.
California is by county.
From my wife’s experience it is. Most have purity and consistency 3rd party independet lab testing requirements. Atleast in Arizona, all manufacturers aka grow facilities do.
Thanks for confirming that some regulations are in place. That ease my mind a little.
Ok my next question about gummies. From experience where and what brand would be recommended for gummies only for now?
100% state dependent at this time.
Most states do not allow sales across state lines. Only exceptions might be a manufacturer being licensed in multiple states.
@Jammo
Edit to Add:
That gets into interstate comerce law, regulated by the FED. GOV.
I have seen issues with a schizophrenic person smoking weed. Guy lived down the hall from me in college was on medication for schizophrenia. Cant say that i knew him super well but we chatted in the hall fairly regularly. He started smoking a lot no longer being under the watchful eye of his parents and by a lot i mean i would see him spending most of the day out at the smoke pit. After about a month any conversation i tried having with him turned into unintelligible ramblings then he went off his meds and shortly after went missing for a few days. Campus PD was investigating and asked me a few questions about it since there was only a handful of people living in that hall that summer. They ended up finding him after a couple days zonked out wandering around town. Ran into him while he was cleaning out his dorm since the incident caused his parents to pull him out of school but he was back on his meds and explained it all to me. he ended up coming back to school the following semester but was on a strict weekly drug testing routine to make sure all he was taking was the schitzo meds and he didnt seem to have any problems after that.
As for me i personally stay away from delta 8/10 ill only use cannabis while on vacation as my job requires random testing but delta 8 and 10 take significantly longer to clear the system for some reason. They do feel better than traditional cannabis, less jitters or nervousness but its not worth the extra time to detox from it for me. Theres also an issue with the lack of regulation and quality testing since its still a relatively new product. States where weed has been recreationally legal for a while have established quality control rules to ensure youre not being sold anything dangerous and you actually get what youre paying for.
guys i would like to 1 thank you all for the information, and 2 keeping the topic professional/adult. alot of times on other forums ive seen discussions about things like this go down the tubes because of immaturity, and i would like to commend you all for being mature about this whole discussion. even if we’ve kinda taken it away some from the owning guns to the effects of what should be took, amounts to be took, and how it effects new folks or old pros at it. That said, if i were to ever try this, I would never use it while intending to go shooting or mess with my firearms at all. those i’d keep as separate as i do alcohol and guns.
First off welcome to the forum @CoastalAgg .
Yes sir I have concerns with quality control even if it says third party tested. I don’t know about the testers standards.
I’m tempted at times to just go across town and get some illegal all natural.
