Just embarrassing and a disappointment that so many people are unaware of simple things like this.
This is just a small fraction. There are guaranteed more of these cases on other websites. Also more that are not on the internet and just bring these broken daggers to their local FFL and more that learn too late and just keep these mishaps to themselves.
So many people, so little brain cells.

All Trueā¦there is No excuse for not educating yourself about Firearms and performing Safe modifications.
This is a reflection on todayās world however. I recall days when you bought stuff from a Salesperson versed in what they sold. Today its all on line or from a Kiosk. Sadly you canāt learn much from either.

Part of the problem is there are too many of us into guns who canāt bring themselves to tell someone else, āI donāt know ā when asked.
We all see it all the time; someone is more willing to say, āI think so; I donāt see why notā instead of āIDK, letās research it and find the right answer together.ā

I couldnt agree more.
There are things taking place on this Website that I donāt have the faintest idea or care about. I certainly donāt jump in there and offer up anything.
I Stay in my Lane when it comes to offering advice on firearms specifics. What I know. I know well. I will be informed on things that draw my interestā¦the rest is of no concern or interest to me , thus I give it a wide birth.
I get emails frequently from good folks on this Forum asking " Hey Fast, what do you know about this or that? " Iāll be the first to say I have No firsthand knowledge of something, ā¦or even " Not a Clue " if I donāt?
I do tend to pride myself on Research of Subjects that Peak my interest of Past , Present or Future projects or Weaponry. Iāve seen the harm even the best of conditions can produce by happenstance or by underlying defects.
Iād Never purposely mislead anyone into harms way.

Did PSA discontinue this slide and barrel combo?
If it was on closeout then yes.
2 years later people are still using ported barrels with non-ported slides and blaming damage on PSA.
