Micro Dagger FT Eject

I have a Dagger Micro that has start to Failure to Eject after a few rounds. I removed the ejector and lubricated it and its still does the same thing. The optic screw isn’t touching it.

I didn’t see a way to contact warranty to see what they thought. Surely this is a simple fix.

What ammo?

115 gr Federal mostly.

Did you try a different mag?

Only when firing? Or also when cycling by hand? Can you post any clear pics of the claw of the extractor?

It doesn’t matter which mag. It also does it cycling by hand.

Not shooting today, but I can get a picture of the claw.

I’ve got about 250ish mix of rounds through it. 115gr, 124gr and a few 147gr.

Sounds like it might be time for an RMA if you can rule out lube, mag, and ammo issues.

That’d be failure to extract from what I see in the pic. You are sure you removed the extractor, right? Cause the ejector doesn’t need lubrication, it’s non moving and is installed in the trigger housing.
Take the extractor and plunger out, look inside that channel and see if there is a screw sticking down, and see if any threadlocking compound got in there.

Woops, didn’t see the part where you said the screw isn’t touching. Still check for any threadlock in there, move the plunger by hand and make sure it is moving freely. Try pressing the extractor back and seeing if it returns properly when it’s all reassembled too. (Or just contact CS)

give customer service a call and see what they wanna do, they’ll probably issue an RMA

I wonder about the extractor spring, plunger or extractor itself. I would disassemble the whole system and look very closely at each individual part and make sure it is reassembled correctly. I would also look at the chamber on the barrel for roughness finish.

I’m going to go back to my OEM Glock 19 and G26, I simply don’t trust it at this time. Very disappointed.

Is the underside of the tip of your extractor worn or chipped?

Hard to tell from the pic, but it doesn’t look quite as “square” to the face of the slide (green), or even with the cartridge guide slot (blue), like The Wife’s below (grabbed hers at random)

A chip or excess wear on the claw can cause it to easily let-go of the case.

(Caveat: 2nd photo is a Dagger Compact, not Micro like first photo - there ARE differences, but they work exactly the same)

(Don’t mind the cat fur in the 2nd photo, please!)

I may order an oem Glock and replace it and see what happens. Thanks.

I have had this happen a lot when I use one frame, but doesn’t happen when I use the other frame…
Granted I grabbed the pic with a steel casing but it happened with brass as well.
I ran three 15 round mags. One mag had it happen twice, and the other two it happened three times. I switched frames and it stopped happening

Failures to extract with my C-1 too… about 1-2 every mag. Not the mags or ammo. No obstructions in the extractor spring channel.

Mine has officially became the worst gun I’ve ever purchased.
Unloaded the mags so I’ll stop wasting ammo ,time and money.

i hate to hear this, but again, i’ll reiterate my question. Have you contacted customer service and had them check out the firearm?
if not i highly suggest you do so.

My first issue was dead trigger after every 5-7 rounds then around every 12-15 round now it’s good after some finagling.

Today I went to the range and I had about 4 failures to eject. One with the regular mag and then the fancier one (PSA). My question is does having different types of ammo on a mag make difference? I believe it was AAC, Herter, Ammo and Blazer all 115 gr I believe. I shot it with a Raven optic before didn’t have any issues

Pleaze Halp!!

Ammo certainly can be an issue. Some guns for some reason like a particular load over others.
