Can’t say I’ve ever had a gun go out of battery from the trigger pull. I have had it where if you slowly let the slide go while holding the trigger rearward, the slide gets stuck til you let it reset. It’s some “test” people do but I don’t think it means much when the gun works fine.
Does it do that if you have a mag in it? Also, worth taking the striker out and making sure the spring cups aren’t canted to one side. This happens if the little end of the spring is right by the edge of a spring cup. Hard to explain but you’ll see if they sit crooked. Can cause more friction.
Actually thinking about it more, I have had a Glock or two do that, but I don’t remember why or what I did to fix it.
I looked around on some other forums and I’m pretty sure it’s just excessive overtravel. I put a piece of folded up paper behind the shoe and it broke just fine and the slide didn’t move on reset. Don’t know of any way besides changing the trigger shoe to fix it.
Yeah I could see that doing it. That wasn’t the problem in my case though, as I neve changed mine and it fixed itself. I think mine was a combo of some break-in and lack of cleaning as usual.
Love all the help here. I need ideas for a mag sleeve and light. So far the TLR7sub seems the way to go on the micro. I have a TLR7A but it doesn’t fit right even withtheadapter playes for the micro. I am used to having glocks but I love these daggers. Still deciding on slides and buying upgrade parts for them. I also bought a holosun and a TLR1HL for the fullsize along with a psa FDE mag sleeve for the compact. Back plates all will be an American flag as that is my go to on my glocks too.
Which would be the best RDS for the Micro Dagger, the 407k or the 507k?
I know that they have differences as far as the actual product, but which of the 2 would be the best suited for the gun itself, because it is flush/aligned with the slide and therefore needs no plates for it, etc.
Second: Which would be the best suitable holster, a choice to carry with or without flashlight for this gun? I usually rotate around depending on how I feel or how hot it is, whether to carry with or without a light, so I am looking for the same thing for when I carry the Micro.
Dimension wise they are the same. I personally don’t care for gimmicky reticles, so I’d go with the 407K, assuming one thing. That they have a NOT 6 MOA version of that optic. If I remember correctly, at least when I got my 407K, they only had it in 6MOA and you HAD to get the 507K to get a smaller reticle. If I’m spending more for the 5 model, I’d go with the EPS Carry now, enclosed and fits right on the same footprint. Normal EPS will also fit that cut, but is going to overhang.
The 6MOA wasn’t terrible, and is probably fine for most shooters with a compact gun. But I’d rather have a smaller dot. I can always make it larger with more brightness anyway.
For a holster that converts between light/non light bearing, I can’t think of anyone that makes any, and I doubt any would be good. They’re designed with a light or not with one, you’re going to sacrifice retention and safety if something tries to do both.
Never had a Glock/PSA slimline gun but I used to have a 365XL and I carried it in a Trex Sidecar, light bearing with a TLR7 Sub. Holsters are definitely personal preference though. I like appendix carry, with an extra mag.
I haven’t heard anybody pipe up here yet on thoughts on the Raven dot PSA is offering now. Looks to me like a 3 MOA rebranded Holosun.
*edit to correct. Thanks @CallsignWulf
It does look nice but with the minor price difference I’d rather take a known quantity and get the Holosun 407K. Seen too many no-name optics go down. I know it’d be warrantied but would rather avoid that. Since you’re out the cost of the ammo you spent zeroing and all that.
At least until others get their hands on it and get some reports in of course.
Thanks. Based on this, I bought one of these holsters a few months ago. I’ve been wearing it everyday as an IWB, and it is great.
I love the stability from having the 2 separate clips so it doesn’t change the cant angle accidentally like single clips can do. I like the shorter wing as it pulls the gun closer to the body to reduce the printing of the longish 15 round magazine. I highly recommend this holster!
Love my PSA handguns, just a quick question. I went with the Micro first and after some initial issues with a dead trigger, I searched for guys with similar challenges and thought I had it fixed. No more dead trigger, and zero malfunctions in the next four range sessions. THEN, I bought a Dagger frame and a week later, a dagger slide. The difference in trigger feel is unbelieveable. Is it just me or is this normal, or is it never supposed to be the same? On the Micro, the trigger fires just before it bottoms out and takes a lot of effort. It is consistent, but after dry firing the Dagger, WOW. Tips? Criticism for my ignorance? Any light you can shed on this would be welcomed.
