Myrtle Beach Store Opening?

4/26 Well the day has finally come. The PSA Myrtle Beach store is OPEN for business! They are calling it a soft opening but from what I have seen they are pretty much full on. Sadly the range is still six weeks away from being done, but it will be nice and worth the wait. Lots of stuff there, I may or may not have picked up a Taurus TX-22 for a steal $279.99 + tax. Later I got to checking the receipt and realized they were miscalculating sales tax. I went back there and brought it to their attention. All I will say is if you bought anything from them before around 4:30 you got a hell of a deal

Lol.

Finally got there today, I didn’t buy anything but my gf picked me up some coffee and a t-shirt. Really wanted to get a Dagger in her hand to see and get her input on hand feel.
Just some observations.
Short-staffed. (Who isn’t in 2023?)
The BTC staff @ the the firearms counters should stay there more. There was a bunch of them over @ the txfr terminals rather than behind the counter making another sale. 1 possibly 2 heads were all that was needed over there to assist, not several. Stood for 20 minutes @ the Dagger section and was not acknowledged as a customer.
Not throwing stones, just seeing some growing pains.

Would love to have a PSA store in FL, I moved to Tampa/Plant City area from Charleston, SC for work. That Summerville store was awesome and I miss it!

That AC system tho! First time in the store, when it engaged I thought some idiot sent an accidental discharge down range and was about to hit the deck until I figured out what that BANG was…. Also for the store staff higher-ups, how about a location tee in another color choice other than black?! Even the blue that the sleeveless come in would be fine but with the artwork on the black tees. It’s SC after all and who wears black being out in the sun other than late fall/winters?..…

They had turquoise when I was there but the artwork was different. I went back and forth, “I’m gonna be sweating like a wh*re in church.”
Were you under or near a vent? Brrrrrr.

yeah i can imagine how much you would love to have a store in Tampa area now since you left Chucktown. I think they may expand one day to florida, i just dont know when, and I dont know if it would be all the way down to Tampa to begin with… they may start closer to the SC side of things, maybe like Jacksonville or something.
