Need actual instructions for 8 position gas system…

PSA please post the instructions for adjusting the 8 position gas system and instructions for removing the 8 position gas plug/knob on the 5.56 rifle.

My upper and lower both arrived without any documentation on operation or take down of this system.

You can do better than this PSA.

GuitarGuy - Thanks for the instructions on setting gas flow.

Four more questions for you:

  1. Is there a suggested starting position for unsuppresed 5.56 nato spec 55grn?
  2. Is there a “cut off” setting?
  3. Can you tell me how to remove the gas knob for cleaning?
  4. Are than any versions of a manual for the Jakl that cover the new 8 position gas block?

I had read that the original gas block could be turn all the way one direction and it could be sent down range if fired. Is that still an issue?

I dont have the 8 position so not sure. Read through that thread. The jakl manual link is in it also.

My upper has the 8 position knob but will only cycle on the 2 most open positions with AE AR223 55gr without a can. On the most wide open I got a FTE when shooting suppressed so I moved it up one position and had no other issues. Sled is plenty lubed up. Do I need the S stamped knob to shoot suppressed or does the 8 pos cover the same range as both 4 pos?
