New JAKL SBR

Some trophy shops will laser engrave

We had a flat bed laser where I used to work for cutting foam shadow trays for the techs tool boxes. I had a ball with that thing and helped a few friends out with things like laser engraving.

Found a trophy shop a few miles away, got great reviews and small family shop. If not I’ll look for jewelry place or something at the mall maybe. I’ve had pistol braces , so wasn’t rushing to pay the tax. But recently bought a can and since everything’s on efile I’m itching to get one

That’s another thing I can’t decide on. I want a .30 cal can… been really thinking sandman s so that’s probably what I’ll get. That’s where this all started … I figured while I wait for the can I will assembly a lower I may have laying around… And I wanted to sbr my stribog for the longest but putting together the ar in 300blk out thinking of a can to run with it makes me want both!! Damn you Uncle Sam! Take all my money

I have 2 30 cals a form 1 5.56 can, a 45 and a Rimfire can. 1 30 cal and the form 1 can stay in the safe. I use my YHM Phantom QD on all my guns. It’s heavy as hell and built like a tank (2 pounds) but it suppresses really well.

If I were to get another one, which I’m shopping for, it would be the YHM Resonator or whatever the newest YHM 30cal is.

I have the Sandman L because I didn’t want to spend that amount of dough then want something quieter. However, it’s heavy and long, so I’m not entirely sure about the trade-off. It is stupid quiet, though. 359 days from purchase to pickup, so I hope you are luckier than me there.

Sounds like you agree with a majority of the reviews I read. The s is good enough. L is quiet. But heavy… not too heavy?

The most efficient way of describing it is that if I had to do it over again, I’d probably get the S. It is probably the sweet spot. A friend of mine has the short K model and I’m not sure that’s enough. I don’t regret getting the bigger can, but the size and weight are either fine or too much. I never think that is light for the job.

It’s definitely not like a rimfire can; that is a no brainer.

Hey, KRoyal, I am diggin’ the setup!
Do you experience any wiggle/wobble at all with the MI bar extended and locked?
Tia.

I actually switched over to the F5 Manufacturer stock for the ACRish look I love but the MI is extremely rigid and tight both extended and flipped. More than I can say for the F5 lol.

Gotcha. Thanks!

Ah, a fellow YHM can afficionado. Which one are you going with? I love the Resonator R2 in .30.

Ive got an older 30 LT that suppresses very well.

Mine is a old Phantom 30 SS sucker is 8.5" long and weighs 2 pounds built like a tank. I’ve had it since 2014 so between 308, 300blk, and 556 it has 25-30k rounds through it and is still my favorite can for suppression. I’ve been looking at a Polonium 30 and Polonium K for their length and weight reduction over the YHM but haven’t pulled the trigger yet on them. I’d still run the YHM Kurz mount system though.
