Hi, I am new to this forum, any forum, usually a lurker gleaming information but from other forums I’ve heard this may be the quickest way to get a response. I purchased this beautiful PSA Custom Coyote/Tan 16" 5.56 NATO Rifle, 3.5lb Flat FCG, Coyote DLC BCG last winter and have only had it out for a run through a couple of times. Only got half a magazine through it when I noticed the ambi safety was acting like a 45/90. It would be on safe at 90 with a solid click and fire at 45 with a light click. Got a couple of mags through it and worked wonderfully with a solid safety at 90. Took her home to clean and check and found with a little shove it would go to 0, straight up and even past 0 to 90 in the opposite direction and lock up that the only way to release it is to remove the grip and spring. I’ve heard PSA had some faulty ambi’s and am wondering how wide spread this issue is? 2nd round out it still worked magnificently but my brother clicked it over and taking it apart again I’ve cleaned, polished and lubed with same issue. Looks like a whole new safety is in order.
Havent heard of that issue. PSA will fix it if you contact CS.
I have to give them a call after work… thank you.
