Is PSA still making non - optics cut slides for the 5.7 Rock pistol ? I am not too happy with the ceracote finish, I would prefer raw stainless or QPQ finish. ---------Thanks, Richard Smith
Nope
I’m also sorely wanting one of the basic non-optic cut Rock slides. Missed my chance not realizing they were being phased out, now I can’t stop kicking myself for it.
I don’t think there’s an appreciable difference if you just leave the cover plate on. You can still swap out the sights for standard glock sights like the regular slide.
You aren’t wrong! It’s the seamless appearance which I go for, the plate covers and bolts look so out of place.
Welcome to the forums @Lynx ![]()
Gotcha, the aesthetic. I would offer to trade you mine but I’ve got tritium sights on there already.
Thank you, @Jammo!
Also thank you @5.7x28mm4u, all good! I shall remain hopeful that someone somewhere has a spare lying around or wants to upgrade, a used slide is still worth it to me.
Look on arfcom, PSA doesn’t allow buy/sell/trade here.
it really is like this and i feel relieved im not the only one… i have two spare original slides i wont part with now, and a couple with “ cool aesthetic cuts” night sights and still NO rmr it’s my absolute favorite dagger but, it is what it is. i got used to them being on every aftermarket glock slide already now too.
These optic nerds are messing up the worlds supply of non optic slides. First the Dagger, now the Rock.
@Don_Keedix thanks, but no dice here. I had gotten the email showing that model was on clearance, however I’m pretty sure it was out of stock before the email ever went out. It was certainly gone within six hours of those deals being posted.
@California_Refugee you are so right. Some people think that every new gun has to be optics ready, ugh!
They disappeared pretty quickly today. It was a good deal, but it also shows there’s probably still demand for non-cut slides.
I’ve been slowly warming up to optics myself the past few years, to the point where I now have them on a lot of my range guns, but I still prefer irons for EDC and definitely don’t think it’s necessary to have every single slide cut for an optic. I suppose we’re in the minority, though.
Oh my gosh, you were right! I’m sorry I doubted you! I just now checked and they have all black non optics cut blem models for sale! I guess I’m about to be the owner of a pair of Rocks.
Good luck to those still searching for one!
