Hello Everyone, my first post here, I just jumped on the Dagger bandwagon and really really like it. I purchased an optics ready slide but I was wondering if PSA still makes slides without the optic cut. I have been looking but did not see any.
No. They have been closing them out and will go optic cut on everything from here on out.
Thank you, that is sort of what I thought.
Welcome to the forums @hafensirene ![]()
PSA still has a very limited quantity of non optic cut slides available. 18 at the moment so act fast.

Use the ( filter ) button on the left and click on non optic
slides. Looks like two models are left with night sights.
Thanks, I might just grab one.
I haven’t been following the dagger stuff, why no more optic cuts going forward?
Idk. Probably not as good as sellers.
My question is: If they are no longer going to provide “no optic cut” slides that some people want, are they willing to lose that business to another competing company? Not everyone wants “optic cut” slides including myself. To each their own though.
They provide a filler-plate with every one. I would say it’s probably a moot point.
Not if I want a no optic cut slide and dont want to pay extra for an optic cut slide that does not benefit me or my use. ![]()
I don’t believe that PSA had a price difference between the two.
They didn’t.
Optic cut colored slides look ridiculous and pieced together with a black plate covering something you never want to use.
Oh well. No more slides for me sadly. I don’t like my optic cut slides.
I don’t care for the optic cuts either, even the ones I own.
I guess I’m just old school ![]()
woa… just ordered some no optic cut sw4 last night with 3dot nights… so beautiful, so sad, it’s not even being old school rmr aren’t the place to start, rmr is like an old person handicap device that’s only good 10yards, 3dot irons and fiber optic irons are the peak of performance, only in my opinion of course
10 yards? Shorter or longer I can use an RDS with no issues. I can use irons too at the same distances I shoot with my RDS, but the red dot is easier.
I have no issues with blacked out irons either. My eyes aren’t good but I shoot target focus even with iron sights. If I use my weapon light, night sights and any other kind of sight with color on it just turn to black silhouettes anyway.
How many people go with just irons on a rifle anymore? RDS is pretty much standard kit minimum for everyone. But at first people were skeptical. Same deal with pistol dots.
I went with the optic plate because am getting old enough that standard sights are getting hard to see and thought i would try out RDS, this is my first and I must say I like it. 10 yards? I have been using mine at 25 with good results. Friend of mine really likes the dagger and has good enough eyes that no need for a RDS yet and ask about a slide with no optic cut. Thats what got me curious if they still made them or not. Curious thing I discovered are the raised cowitness sights actually are helpful if your eyesight is going, much easier to acquire than standard lower sights.
I like taller sights not for eyesight reasons, but because it lets me hold the gun lower down to align the sights. Like a taller mount on a rifle red dot. Just feels more comfortable to not have my arms way up high. I’m also weird apparently and prefer shooting rifles with a chin weld vs the cheek.
My sight isn’t that great though, try target focus with irons. It really does work. Just line up the blurred lines, make hits.
im not satisfied unless it’s at least an orange softball at 40yards… not half bodies at 20… everything i just read is strongly reenforcing my personal opinion
get it before it’s gone…
