Really? I know they had some issues in the past. That KGC deal would be a nice way to put up a handful of spare receivers for rainy days. Unless my LGS charges per receiver. I could not scrounge that much.
I remember the same negative comments about them in the past thatās why Iāve always passed.
I have firsthand experience with two Anderson builds. Both had issues with quality control and fitment that required modification. Fortunately neither were mine, rather friends doing first time builds who were at a loss for how to fix. I kept insisting it wasnāt typically this difficult, but the experience was enough to turn them both off from building any more ARās.
So I would not recommend Anderson to anyone. Granted itās probably been 10 years since those builds, 2 is by no means an adequate sample set, and things could have improved with the companyās QC efforts. Thus YMMV, but Iāve no confidence in them whatsoever.
Iirc, Anderson, like Aero and LW Schneider, actually make lowers for other manufacturers. With the volume they make there will always be ones that slip through the cracks.
Concur with this @GuitarGuy. Iām probably being too harsh on Anderson these days, but the aforementioned is all I have to go on in dealing with them personally -hopefully thatās being conveyed appropriately. On the flipā¦ Aero Precision has been my go to for countless builds over many years without a single issue -to include any they openly market as Blem.

I agree. in the gun snob groups they call them "poverty Poniesā because the anderson lowers have mustangs on the roll mark. personally iāve used one or two and never had a problem with the buildsā¦ same goes with their lower partsā¦ thats the most i have had any personal knowledge of them though. their stainless trigger lower parts kit is pretty dang nice for what it is.
they get a bad rap because theyāre inexpensive like PSA isā¦ but they are quality for the pricepoint.
yeah from my memory as well they do make lowers and other parts for other companies as well like areo lwshneider and other companies that we know and love.
I never had a CZ or shot one.
Last summer ended up trading an AR for a P07 threaded barrel 9mm.
It doesnāt miss the target often, even with me shooting.

Have an Anderson lower for years now with a 7.62 upper and it works everytime i ask it to.

I am pretty sure that one is a PSA upper with 1/10 barrel.

Has anyone ever used these? I have some. They seem to work ok, but what I know about firearms will fill a thimble, so, caveat emptor. Anyway, this is about a buck less than I paid for mine 2 years ago.
