Lets start a deals page for non-PSA stuff, since we all already get the daily emails. This thread is for gun stuff (cases, ammo boxes, cleaning, etc.) and outdoor type stuff.
Here is an Amazon deal for MTM Ammo Crates. Lowest price i have seen in a while:
MTM ACR4-18 Ammo Crate Utility Box,Green,Medium https://a.co/9EvmjUp
For Kalashnikov-ey DIYer-typee folk, Recreator is blowing-out the last of their 80% Welded-and-Hardened receivers, until the 23rd:
Promo code “20ANDFREESHIP”, plus they’re putting random receivers on sale in the $80-range, currently Egyptian AKMs for $89 with bulk pricing available.
Ok, point taken. Ive never bought anything from them but I was going to grab some Ruger P89 mags from them. Palmetto doesnt carry the original Ruger stainless mags. So I just found them elsewhere and they were 2 bucks cheaper. So I’ll let them marinate in that cart for a few weeks. This sucks because they were already marinating in the Cheaper Than Dirt cart for a few weeks and they were just about ready to be purchased
LOL, I went back to 300 some of the 300 series stainless 301, 2 and what not… Magnetic Permeability… Crap like that gets important when you’re dealing with a Magnetic Anomoly Detector for the earth.
I recently bought a Girsan 1911S in FDE ( Full Size) via Cheaper than Dirt.
Only one of many local shops carries the Girsan , Tisas and other lower tier lines. The one that did claimed the model I wanted was simply not available. I’d heard this enough times to have broken the code of " I’m only interested in selling from stock".
I left the shop disgusted but not surprised. I went to a restaurant around the corner and while waiting on my lunch I found exactly what I wanted far back of MSRP and Handling fees of less than $16. The shipment from St. Louis arrived at my Charlotte suburb FFL 5 days later.
My dealings with CTD have been positive the 4 times I’ve used them. I also used the Shop that said they couldn’t get one as my Ship To FFL to make a point.
My savings allowed me to make all kinds of upgrades to this Girsan after it arrived. I now have a 1911 that cosmetically looks like a Colt M45A1 minus the markings…but is chocked full of Tier 1 replacement upgrades and hardware.
