Official PSA AR-9 Photo Thread:

Finally got my sights in for my last build. Pretty happy with the final product. Normally I run the Eotech G33 magnifier on all my builds but I decided to try the Sig Juliet 3 Micro magnifier this time.

that looks real good. let us know how that sig juliet 3 works out for you. i’ve never added a magnifier to my builds so im curious if you like it and if it does that good of a job versus what the folks say of the Eotech 33

I had the G33 on an old build of mine and I loved it. A little bulky, but enjoyable. I 2nd letting us know how you like it, I’ve been looking at getting one.

Will do. I love the Eotech G33 magnifier. I have 4 of them and have absolutely no complaints about it. One thing that I have already noticed is the the eye relief isn’t as far as it is on the G33. You have to get right up on the back of the receiver to get the proper eye relief. I may find a solution after I play with it some more. I run magnifiers on all my AR. It doesn’t take up much room and once you get used to having one you won’t go back to not having one. Plenty of people told me that they didn’t want a magnifier when I was building them an AR. When I went to zero their AR with them I let them use my AR with the magnifier and just about everyone ended up wanting a magnifier also.

I definitely like the vertical look of the stick mag better than the angled Glock.

Me too…but also because I do not own a single glock.

I (may or may not) own plenty of Glocks, and fully realize the benefits of compatibility of mags, but they just look so dang wonky in an AR platform. I don’t mind them in something original like a Kriss Vector, but I just can’t get used to them in an AR. Meanwhile, Cold stick mags are '80’s-rific!!!

Endomag for the win , I can revert this mag rite back to 556 , my ar9 , 300bo , 16” , 7.5” all use the same pmag’s now that’s really magazine compatibility and it’s not ugly…

I’m building my first PCC, a PSA AR9 using the following. Can anyone tell me which buffer weight I should be using when I build the lower? It will be unsuppressed.

Upper

Lower

Use a heavy 9mm buffer. I prefer the KAK that has the extended head so i dont have to use a buffer spacer.

Yep

Built my lower tonight. That was interesting. Everything was great until the rear take down pin. The upper is supposed to be delivered tomorrow.

Finished my AR-9 and took it out this morning. Only had one issues: the last round in each of the Pro-Mags jammed. One of the mags was damaged. The MagPul mag I have worked fine, no issues, multiple loads.

Any thoughts on the Pro-Mag issue?

Thoughts? Yes. Avoid promag mags. They are junk.

Ordered some more of the MagPuls. I do not have any Glock stuff so this is my first experience with them.
