too long didn’t read… smells salty
Typical reddit stan humping WASRs. Saw that coming a mile away.
Yeah, there’s a few people that need warranty work on PSA items. It happens. It happens to ALL manufacturers, PSA, however, is one of the few that will quickly respond to and fix whatever issue you have as opposed to making excuses or giving you the run around. They also sell a huge amount of volume compared to others, and don’t attempt to hide numbers in terms of fixes.
Past that, you want to talk issues then you bring up Arsenal? Rich. Imagine paying $2,500 for an AK that doesn’t work.
Go back to your echo chamber. Nobody here cares.
Can’t say I’ve ever seen a wbp in 7.62 need work…ever. No PSA has not pushed more AKs than FB radom, or Arsenal. Not sure I would count wbp in that, since they’re technically new, even if they share parts with FB. These places have been making pretty much the same rifle for a very long time.
Arsenals not working? What are you talking about, theyve been at the Pinnacle of AKs for literally decades. The most coveted AKs to ever hit the US are arsenals. Used rifles going for 3k+. There’s a reason their parts kits go for as much as a PSA built, and more.
Pretty much all combloc factories +WBP, are all making better rifles than PSA. It’s just better components. PSA cuts costs. There’s a reason there’s no upgrade option for a better barrel for those companies, it’s because the barrel they come with is already good. That includes the wasr, which while ugly, and poorly put together, will absolutely last tens of thousands of rounds. Pretty sure if BFLV thought they could cheap out and buy PSAs, they would. But they’re not. It’s all wasr, because the barrel is just better. To get components as good as a wasr, you need to buy a gf5, and for that kinda money, you might as well go WBP.
Buddy, I don’t think you understood, so let me say it one more time. Go back to your echo chamber, nobody here cares. You’re fully biased, misinformed, and looking for an argument (not a friendly debate.) There is no convincing people like you and the argument isn’t worth having.
Benefit of a free market = buy the gun you want.
Is there way to block people?
You’ve got it backwards. You’re the one who is misinformed. Otherwise you would probably point out whatever was wrong with what I’ve said (which is pretty much objectively true). You’re the one who is biased, I gave half a dozen companies to pick from, but you’re out here stanning for PSA. You’re literally in the PSA forum, this is the definition of an echo chamber. There’s a whole world of AKs out there.
Telling people these are better than some combloc factory is just dishonest. Quality of parts matters. And maybe don’t try to cut corners on important parts, like bolts or firing pins…
If you need the cheapest AK possible, and you don’t plan on running it hard, then a PSA will be fine.
Lets chill with the purse swinging before we have to lock the thread.
Its important to remember that opinions are just that, and they are subjective.
I hate to see this. I didn’t join this forum to see arguments.
Arsenal is OK. I have a few, but they aren’t all that.
Finish flakes off every time I clean them, No purse here.
There is a reason they command the price they do. Also, stop using Hoppes. CLP only for that paint. Probably the one draw back. Alternatively i assume you have a garden hose? Use that and some oil.
what type of garden hose do you recommend? i honestly prefer a magic hose, its compact.
Looks fine
I can’t help but laugh, this too funny.
It’s goofy, and it’s an issue that has been known for a LONG time. Amazing guns, but the paint rubs off fairly easily. Any sort of harsh cleaner like Hoppes (just a popular brand, no hate) strips it. I’m pretty sure there is paint on the styrofoam box mine came in that wiped off. But, you get a rifle that is going to function perfectly for decades.
As to the garden hose, its less of a joke than you might think, thats a great way to get corrosive salts out.
Ive noticed that with hoppes, its potent stuff. Im pretty careful with it now.
“Windex - with Ammonia-D!” used to be recommended as a quick-and-dirty.
I don’t use hoppes or a garden hose.
Armorer in the US Navy.
CLP is all I use and maybe some rem oil on the action.
Im using clp alot now, i like it.
i use whatever is on sell
…a lot of it…!
Start using the garden hose if you’re shooting 5.45, or 7.62 surplus. That’s the best way of getting the corrosive salts out.
