I am having an issue getting the extractor pin out to clean. No amount of manipulating, prodding for finessing will work, I have tried everything short of brute force or using a steel pin for fear of marring the bolt for the BCG. thoughts?
Oil it and push out with a punch.
First time owning one. is there something I can use to hold it to prevent the finish from getting scratched up? I like to keep it as easy to clean as possible.
Wrap the punch with thick tape (like a gorilla tape)
It’s not going to stay pristine if you shoot it.

less worried about prestine. I considerd skipping the recievers along the ground just to avoid that painful first scratch. More worried about causing a burr that would cause further issues down the line.

TY. I decided to take one of my polymer snap caps into a punch by turning it on a lathe. If anyone is interested, a 5.55 snap cap fits perfectly in the cam pin hole to hold the bolt steady.
