PA-10 vs PTR 91

I currently have a PTR 91(G3 clone) and i am not entirely happy with it. I have several PSA Ar rifles in 5.56 and have always been pleased with them. I am thinking about selling the PTR and getting a PA-10. Maybe I am just so used to the AR platform that i am biased but i am just not feeling the warm fuzzy for the PTR after several years. I know everyone has a preference but what are some pros and cons of one over the other to shoot .308. I already have the Sprinfield M1A(M14 Clone) and enjoy ringing steel with open sights at 150 yds. Looking for advice. Thanks.

I have a 12.5" suppressed pa10. Its the bees knees. Short, powerful, and quiet. I want a short G3.

I had a PTR91. I tried to like it but couldn’t get past the long mushy trigger. I have a PA10 with an 18" barrel that is a blast to shoot. I much prefer the AR10 platform for .308. I also have an M1A and a FAL. I still prefer to shoot the PA10 for accuracy and ease of use. :sunglasses:

PA 10 has better ergo. But darn I love my cetme. You need both your G3 and a PA-10.

Even though they’re both .308, I hate accumulating one-off magazines. Ok, I’m gradually putting together a 6.5 Grendel and have a couple mags so I shouldn’t complain about “one-off”! When all is said and done, you gotta do what you gotta do

Recently I got a CA3 for using the re-reworked CBC 7.62 NATO I have so much of. I honestly like it, It shoots well, the trigger is similar to other military triggers (like the AK) so I learned to work with it. What I’ve wondered is how safe it might be with an overload. Turns out it protects the shooter pretty well. This is from someone who used a defective CBC round in an HK91:

The CA3 is made by PTR using used Portuguese parts with PTR made receivers, trunnions and barrels. And PTR uses H&K tooling. The Portuguese rifles were made in an H&K approved factory.
