I picked up a sabre-10 stripped lower last year and finally got a stripped upper. My plan is to build an 8.6 sbr. I can’t seem to find short, under 12”, handguards that are guaranteed to fit the PSA. Im hoping someone can point me in the right direction saving me from having to build more rifles for parts that didnt fit!
I assume since.you bought them separately you have a standard milspec upper. Any dpms low handguard should work. Only thing I have ever had to do was file an anti-rotation tab down to get a better fit. There are not many short dpms low handgaurds out there.

Part of big name price is the name. I jave a Guntec on my 12.5” 308 that I put on there about 8 years ago as a placeholder….iver never changed it and its been solid.

The PSA PA10 series has been great since it originally launched.. yes there were some growing pains, but that was to be expected in my mind as there is no real mil-spec standard for the AR10 platform in general. Because of this, the industry has pretty long said to itself we wont change nything for now caue its working. well thats great, but PSA AR10’s use a specific AR10 barrel height in their AR10 uppers. Long had the industry used the DPMS standard, or the AR stoner standard of upper height / design. well PSA sliced it down the middle , and while they use a height closer to the DPMS, its not really that at all.. and its certainly not a DPMS high at all.
Moral of the story, any DPMS pattern LOW upper receiver hand grip should fit, with minimal tweaking if any. some you need to modify, some you dont..
Now all that to say, we assume the SABRE ar10’s are the same as the PSA AR10s in relation to the lower and upper receiver style. For the most part. I for one believe it and say they are.
Of course if you dont wanna deal with the hassle of finding out anything about your AR10 upper, simply go find a Sabre ar10 upper handguard and put it on your rifle. you know itll fit perfectly cause thats a sabre to sabre mating
