@foley_rules , nathan, Im so sorry to hear that it came back as cancer. of course sheās in our prayers continuously. try to stay calm and supportive to her as much as you can. but dont forget to take care of yourself too, cause you need to be good enough to support her.. so dont wear yourself out too much too.
Praying for yall
You and your family are in my prayers.
Iām in need for prayers for my sister, currently battling Stage 4, and she is not doing well
The cancer has spread to her spine, specifically the C4, and the bone is deteriorating rapidly as she is also experiencing paralysis due to bone degeneration and pressure on the spinal cord
This coming Wednesday she is scheduled for spinal surgery where they will inject cement into her C3 through C5, letting cure, and then fuse the three vertebrae together. Roughly a 10hr surgery if all goes well. Her bone density will not support surgical stabilization hardware
My sister isnāt long for this earth. At this point weāre just trying to give her the best quality of life for what she has left. Without this surgery, sheāll be a quadriplegic in short order, and thatās if she survives the C4 collapse. It could kill her instantly as the C4 spinal region controls breathing
My sister is only 48. Sheās already lost her left leg, and all of her toes on her right foot

Iāve got some much going on here lately, Iām lucky if I sleep 2 hours per night
Been up since 11:30 MST
Gotta get through my sisterās surgery tomorrow, then a much needed trip to Scottsdale to see my wifeās favorite sister, who is also my favorite SIL ![]()
My youngest graduates high school on 5/17, and have a trip for him planned 6/6 through 6/10
My bestie coming down from Canada for Labor Day, gonna spend a week in the mountains and then my nieces wedding in Virginia in October
The anesthesiologist didnāt like my sisters labs. They cancelled the surgery as they were prepping her in the OR this morning
Maybe Friday, maybe next week. I guess itās day by day at this point
They also are currently installing a HALO to stabilize her neck, which would have happened anyway, during the actual surgery
Just came out and she is in recovery. Long road ahead still obviously, but they have her spine and neck straightened out significantly more.
They added 5 pounds in 5-10 minute increments and got up to 60 pounds and she was good. After time they were able to drop back down to 20 pounds and keep alignment where it should be.
They think the jaw may have some infection, so that will lead to 5-11 more weeks of antibiotics.
Surgery is tentatively for next Wednesday again. It will depend on how her labs look.
She will move to ICU from recovery when the room opens up. She will be released to step down after ICU.
Busy Busy Busy. Lots of exciting life milestones and good Friends and Family in all those upcoming plans. All things considered, other then the current labs, sounds like Sister is doing fairly well, Thank you Lord! Hoping and Praying for best man ![]()
So I found out late last night that an old Friend and Racing Buddy/Fierce Rival passed away. His funeral is Saturday, and I would sincerely appreciate a short prayer for the Family of Don Wilson while youāre talking to our Father.
Thank You folks, itās been a harsh year so far.
man, sheās having a wild go at it. iām keeping her in my prayers as i also have you,. sounds like shes a trooper though so far going through all that cant be easy. I pray her labs even out to being good enough for the doctors to want to perform the surgery.
sorry to hear about your loss. youāve got it bud. youāre right about 2025 being brutal so far. i fear its just getting started.
Good morning all. My father-in-law has likely reached the end of this phase of life. His name is Bill and I would appreciate prayers for him, my MIL, my wife and her two sisters. Heās 87 and, as my dad used to tell me, his warranty ran out long ago. Thanks.
