Just future reference…scope mounts are selected by tube size and height. Objective size of the scope usually isnt mentioned.
Yes. I’m aware. My Issue was making sure I got the correct height that I needed.
I’ve had one too short. Haven’t used a scope in while but with my eyesight now it would help pull things in.
I like the CCOP MNT-1516, except in 1 inch.
Normally when I buy that part number it’s 30 mm.
I have 3 or 4 of the Crossfire 4-12-40.
It looks like they’re selling it with a 30 mm-1 inch adapter
CCOP is a Chinese machine shop, I think.
I have about 10 of their scope mounts.
I ended up going with the combo Guitarguy mentioned. Been a while since I bought a scope.
Looking forward to getting it. I’ve read a lot of good things about Vortex. Hopefully it will be decent enough. Will probably get something better down the road depending on how this works out. Thanks for the info everyone.
Been a busy day
I can highly recommend any of those Bushnell’s. The AR optics ones have some sort of BDC reticle. which are excellent if you don’t want to jump right into “dialing” in your distances. With a BDC you’ll have marks for different distances. For instance, you’ll have your scope sighted in at 100 yards then you’ll have hash marks for 200, 300, 400 yards etc. If you want to learn your ballistics right away I love my Bushnell Engages, the glass is great, the tracking is excellent, mine get adjusted all over the place and always return to zero. That’s just my 2 cents, I’ve done a lot of scope research and bought a bunch of them!
Here you can pick your size and offset. Aero Precision mounts are good but a little more than $50 but a mount is something you can keep even if you change optics so get a good one.
Like @Earthling says, Aero Precision is good stuff. I would however, encourage purchasing from them directly and not using Amazon.
They run discount offers fairly regularly and even let you stack them with your 10% Military/Veteran’s account discount (if applicable).
