Are any of these PSA $200 scopes usable as an inexpensive starter scope?

What are you using it on?
What range are you planning as your max?
Edit to add:
Yes the do work as starter scopes.
Welcome to the forum!
@pjfrank67
I’ve had good luck with the Burris Fullfield’s personally and read good things about Vortex (but only have firsthand experience with their red dots, which has been good).
The only two shown I’ve never heard of are Konus and Riton. All the others I’d have no issue jumping in as a starter scope in this price range.
Yes, good starter scopes. I would initially look for 30mm tubes and country of origin.
China<Phillipines<Japan
I prefer the Vortex scopes. I believe they have a no questions asked full warranty.
Edit: I have 4 of the Vortex Crossfire scopes - 2 on muzzle loaders, 1 on 300 acc, 1 on 556. All are still working just fine.

Wow that’s awesome.
Thanks everyone for the input.
Just using it for general target shooting.
Would be nice if it was good up to 300 yards.
Looking for something at $200 or less.
I have too many hobbies…
I recommend the $169 mil-dot scope at Primary Arms.
https://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-4-16x44-sfp-riflescope-mil-dot-reticle
I have about 8 of them.
Also a few Vortex Crossfires.
It kind of depends what kind of reticle you want.
Sometimes I wonder if a 308 has enough foot pounds & momentum to dislodge the reticle.
QUESTION: what is the next step up from the $169 PA scope ?
I’m thinking I’ll go with the Vortex Optics Crossfire II 4-12x40.
What would be a decent cantilever 40mm mount at about $50?
40mm is the size of the objective end, not the tube.
I’m aware… I need the mount to be able to clear the rail for a 40mm objective. Many that I’m seeing are for 30mm objective it appears.
Don’t want to make the mistake of buying something that is too short. Been there once.
You need the correct tube size. Is it a 1" tube or a 30mm tube?
occasionally they are on sale and include a Vortex mount - the Primary Arms mounts are good also.
Objective is 40mm. Tube is 1 inch.
Which would be a good choice for 1 inch tube 40mm objective at $50’ish? Have been out of the loop for a while. Lots of new things out there.
For a 1" tube, you’re not going to find a good mount for $50.
Here is a comparable scope that comes wuth a mount:
https://palmettostatearmory.com/vortex-cantilever-ring-mount-for-1-tube-w-2-offset-vortex-sonora-4-12x44-riflescope-w-dead-hold-bdc-reticle.html
There’s ton of $50 mounts out there but wasn’t sure if any of them would be decent.
Good mounts are going to start around $100. Better quality that have a better mounting system to return to zero. You dont want to zero your rifle every time you mount your scope.
Agreed, Hence the question. Thanks for the info.
