PSA .458 Socom?

Is there a .458 Socom rifle set up made by PSA,
If not is anyone else kind of interested in seeing them do this?

I’d love for them to sell .458 assemblies. I ordered upper components from Rock River 2 months ago…still waiting.

i wanna say they did produce one once… i could be worng and misremembering, or thinking they said they will in the future but havent already done it. I know i have one, i just dont remember if its a psa barreled upper or not… :frowning: sorry for not being much help…

No you’re all good man, thank you though! Would be sweet to start a build on one, one day!

well i checked mine and it is not a PSA barrel, so while it eliminates my rifle , it doesnt say if PSA made one yet. I did research a little and i do see posts that they state they were going to produce it in the near future, but i havent found anything that said they did do it yet… so idk…

sorry, best i could do. :frowning:

i do agree you would enjoy building one… so start! no reason not to get everything else together is there?

Not wrong there brother🙏🏼 Thanks for all the info you could provide. What kind of lower would I be looking at, a AR10 lower?

IIRC the .458 SOCOM chambering is in the short-action/AR-15 frame.

Thank you kind sir that is what I was thinking as well just wanted to make sure and damn ammunition is expensive for .458

this is correct, you can do the .458 on any ar15 lower, that is labled or made for multi-caliber use. you do not need the ar10 lower for these.

This is true that it uses the AR-15 lower receiver. You’ll also find that the upper has the ejection port opened up a little.

UPDATE: After ordering from RRA on 12/10/2021 I finally got a call on 3/23/2022 that barrels are in and they are preparing to ship my assembled .458 SOCOM upper. I had just talked to the CS lady 3 days earlier asking if they were going to be able to fill the order or if I needed to start shopping again elsewhere. Excited to finally be able to finish it and have a range day.

thats awesome. i look forward to hearing how your range days go.
