PSA bulpup interests?

Random, but psa could fill a gap in an alternate to an existing rifle type, the bulpup. other companies have done this before. I believe PSA could look into bulpup variants. Say PSA doesn’t want to go through the R&D of a new rifle type. PSA makes the jackal, a buffer less rifle design that could be retrofitted into a bulpup chassis similar to ar180 bulpup designs. PSA L85 when?

@thethirdharris I don’t have any insider knowledge, but it makes sense and would be a great idea!

I would much rather see the projects that are already in the works completed before a bullpup I would not buy.

Yeah that’s true. The jackal is already established. The bulpup design would require minor T&E of a bulpup chasis, a noncomplex part, with exception to the trigger mechanism.

This isn’t asking psa to design a whole new gun, it’s asking for a different lower/chasis for an existing product, the jackal.

I also want to see the psa mp5 completed as well as the other ak lines being fleshed out. A psa spiker would be very cool

That is an amazing idea. Something akin to desertech’s offering. Multiple caliber bull pup without the flaws in other bull pup designs. Please make this.

Yup. Dont like 223? Flip the upper to the 300blk.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

I’ll bet PSA sold more Grendel’s last year than the total sales of all bullpups, all calibers and all manufacturers in the US.

I would love a psa bulpup!

I’d love to see a pup design, or maybe some sort of take on the keltec sub2k…

The main benefit of a bullpup in my mind is to maintain a shorter overall length while meeting the legal barrel length for a rifle. Now that Biden is on the warpath to make pistol braces illegal we may have to consider the bullpup again.

I purchased this Panzer BP-12 Gen2 from the PSA store in Savannah, GA. It’s an amazing machine and I’d love to see a PSA variant

Yo, @Josiah_PSA , microtech used to manufacture aug clones in the US. Would psa consider finding, buying, and using that old machinery and make a ps-aug? That’d be a cool consideration if the mp5 is on hold

That is an interesting suggestion! I will send it up the chain of command. The PSA5 is still in the works! No timeframe right now.

I was just thinking about this yesterday and wondered if you guys were doing one as well. I think it would be pretty cool. Was thinking about looking into a bullpup style.

The Polish Grot can be “purchased” in a bullpup or classic rifle layout. I’ve heard their exported version isn’t nearly as nice as that used by their military (not because of it being semi-auto). Maybe PSA wouldn’t have to redesign anything if they had some agreement with Łucznik? A wiki link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FB_%22%C5%81ucznik%22_Radom

They ever get back to you on the suggestion?

Just wanted to bump the thread and get the conversation started again. Now that the ATF has banned pistol braces maybe the bullpup is back on the drawing board? I think PSA could make an IWI Tavor for about half the price.
