I’m sure many people would love to own such a classic. Heck you can even make a “tactical” verson of it.
Thoughts?

it’s been rumored that down the line in a couple years or so, their sister company H&R, will be producing them. as they had in the past, so they can once more right?!?! ![]()
I have heard it said from the top that it will eventually happen. All JJE got of H&R was the intellectual property. While drawings are good, tooling up takes time.

I’m buying a piggy bank. I’m gonna start a wear jar. $1 per every f ckin GD cuss word. There’s two dollars right there. Gonna mow grass for the neighbors. Gonna get me one. Been looking at Civilian Marksmenship M1s. I will save up. If PSA (H&R) build them or not.![]()

In one shot show video they were talking about they were in the process of transferring the blueprints into digital format, I wonder if they got the intellectual property from when H&R was licenced for H&K products
Looking forward to a new H&R Garand. I believe they are going to happen. ![]()
Also looking forward to them building M14s. That would be cool as heck.
Research tells me that Garands sold for $85 in WW2. Sounds like an excellent price for PSA to pursue (just ignore all the inflation that has happened since
).
man i hope they did get the info from when H&R produced H&Ks, idk if they’ll make m14s though… as i dont know if they (h&R) ever produced them to begin with… but man, theres a lot of good stuff coming out soon from H&R… enjoy and buy up to support them!!! if we dont support these guys like we do PSA , well the sister companies can fail sadly just like any other business, so rememeber to be a good customer if you can!!!
In one shot show interview the President of H&R (former owner of Spud) said they were starting off with the stock GI then moving into other variants and i think he even mentioned M14 style
awesome! i am eager to see what H&R comes out with!
Had a Chinese M-14 once. Receiver heat treat was not so good so I sold it. Should have employed a good gunsmiff.![]()
I would only be interested in owning a classic WW2 style, walnut stock, etc. No offense, but there’s already enough plastic guns, Please don’t pimp out the M1 Garand. This is a soldier’s rifle, and it stands on it’s own, without embellishments.
It would be awesome if it were to be offered with G.I. type sling, cleaning kit and bayonet. (no it don’t gotta have a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time) It would be on a rest, loaded and ready on my fireplace mantel. Wife’s junk, slapped off the end and out the way one handedly, discussion over.![]()
I agree with you that an m1 garand with the walnut furniture is the real deal, but I do think, if done right, a “tactical” garand would be pretty sick.
And Springfield Armory already makes an M14, in every possible configuration.

WW2 - We won against Germany and Japan in 4 years time. The M1 Garand is about as tactical as it gets. If it ain’t authentic what’s the point of owning one. It’s a piece of Americana, and it holds a place of honor. It would be sacrilege to make it plastic. I am not a gun snob. I just feel it needs to be left alone. If it was good enough for our Soldiers, Sailors and Marines to carry into battle and earn it’s place in history, it cannot be replaced, improved upon or made cooler. It would be like making a German Sheppard K-9 wear a damn pair of rudolf antlers and a red nose that lights up. Next thing you’d hear would be - when is the pink one going to be available. Hell no.

I like how his actual ears are so much bigger than the costume ears. He looks like he is thinking “this demeans us both”.
