PSA needs to stop being so cheap!

Saw $29 blem stripped lower. Got excited. Bought it. Later decided I needed a parts kit… $100 for the kit. Thinking I got a solid deal. Spent tonight beating my head against the wall trying to get roll pin in on trigger guard. Got it 95% in, threaded screw on the other side got cammed out while just screwing it in (honestly, a bit cheap in the wrong way on that) so also slightly stuck out. Feeling mostly happy it’s mostly together other than still worried I’ll break it trying to get that damn roll pin in the other 1mm… Thinking about how I should look at uppers… so looking on PSA store only to see I could have bought an assembled blem with the same kit for $120 total with no headache lol…

Mainly, good job on keeping cheap… wish I’d pay attention to the deals a bit better though. Had to vent somewhere lol

Oh and these blems… I don’t believe they’re blemished. Spent five minutes while waiting for background looking for it with the store guy and we couldn’t find a single mark lol

In 2014 stripped lowers and stripped uppers were $125 each…IF you could find them. Dont worry about a few $$. Buy cheap, stack deep.

The roll pin on trigger guard is a design feature added by satan.

Hard to beat that price on a lower. Still can’t find the blem on the ones I bought.

I have at least 8 different builds going on because of PSA…I’ve been buying from PSA for the last 2-3 years; before that I was a moderate purchaser. Maybe once or twice a year.

Now they’ve made it like grocery shopping.

Sigh lol this would have saved me a lot of stress. Just trying to make sure it gets in the other side before giving it some good taps taps. Too many pictures of cracked lowers :expressionless:

IMHO buying the complete lower is the way to go, at least it is for me now

I mean $120 is hard to beat. I wasn’t even planning on building out the stripped, just wanted to have one around. But what good is a stripped lower without parts? Rabbit hole ensues. Next time I’ll just accept fate and buy the completed lower lol

Or FDE for the same price.

Or just $20 more for the Magpul upgrade

Hoping to see some free shipping on lowers soon, myself. Already got my upper when they had a free shipping deal last week. :crossed_fingers:

Please remember to taper file and lube roll-pins prior to install. A roll-pin punch set is also nice to own. Good luck :+1:

you can buy an expensive tool or a cheap C-clamp ($4) which is what I use to seat it fully. Sometimes I have to start it with a punch and hammer.

The only part I am afraid to break is the serialize part.

There are trigger guards with screws instead of roll pins.

Yeah, I thought about that when I was buying the parts kit. I’m just hard headed and figured I’d find a better way. I should get some punches and stuff (I have some, somewhere) but got squirrely.
